For what it's worth, in the latest talkgopherbuckets podcast, Ryan James said he thinks we'll get Alex Illikainen and Jarvis Johnson. He thinks Henry Ellenson coming here is less likely, said he's a guy who might have actually had a better relationship with Tubby's staff than Pitino's, but that he does go to a lot of Gopher games and cheers his heart out, in contrast to the stoicism seen by most recruits at games. Maybe that's just because of the family connection with Wally though.

Dude has great footwork, soft touch and seems pretty athletic. Would obviously be a great get, a consensus 5 star and top 10 kid.

Some additional notes, video on Jalen Adams.... among other things, talks about his HS history (reclassed to '15) and his teammate (familiar name - Kaleb Joseph - was his back court mate for both HS and travel this year.. you'll hear Adams called 'PG' by some, but often is at SG with Joseph at point... sometimes not a huge difference - both can handle the ball... anyway, Adams is a combo guard.)
 



For those interested, here is a new video of Marshawn Wilson. Pitino will likely keep a close eye on him going forward.

First post after reading around on here for awhile. Marshawn actually reminds me of a young Victor Oladipo, just a little bit though.

There were rumors earlier this summer that UW had offered. Given Marshawn's academic troubles early on in HS, that didn't make sense and the rumors turned out to be false. However, the UW staff certainly saw a lot of Marshawn, as they were at nearly every game to see Henry. If he can get his academics in orders, I would not be surprised to see UW offer. I'm not sure he is a PG at the next level, but he is an excellent athlete and very good slasher.

I wonder how serious the academic questions are? I think he would fit great in a pressing/uptempo system like Pitinos. I'd have to imagine he's at least somewhat interested in him.
 


Do the Gophers have any interest in Jonny Woodard from Duluth East? From what I here he's playing 1 year at ND-School of Science then will have 3 years eligibility. The last time I saw him he looked High-Major. I hope he's on the Gophers radar.

That Hageman pic is what they should have used on that downtown billboard promoting season tickets. Something that makes him look huge.
 

Also, this is about the coolest gopher basketball recruiting tweet since I've been a fan. Arguably the best big man in the 2015 class, an out of state kid, tweeting about how awesome his unofficial to the U was. Don't get a whole lot better than that.

Interesting. This kid was raining threes in a game at the adidas Invitational. Really confident shooter. Haven't seen a lot of him, but looks like he could be a nice shooting specialist.
