And this right here is the difference maker between hiring a coach with a track record of success and one who doesn't. It gives recruits and fans the confidence that he's done it before and he'll do it again here.Per Marcus:
Cretin-Derham Hall’s Ty Schlagel and Maple Grove’s Baboucarr Ann, the only two sophomores offered by Johnson, have more time to figure out what might be in their future at the next level, including being recruited by Medved’s Gophers.
The 6-5 Ann, who will play up with D1 Minnesota’s 17U team this year, was impressed with Medved’s accomplishments in turning around programs at Furman, Drake and recently Colorado State, which went to back-to-back NCAA tournaments.
“I feel like my interest in the school is the same because Minnesota is one of my favorite schools,” Ann said. “But having him as a coach would be a plus.”

All things that Coyle, etc knew. Yet…….And this right here is the difference maker between hiring a coach with a track record of success and one who doesn't. It gives recruits and fans the confidence that he's done it before and he'll do it again here.
So you're saying he's a lock for the Gophs. I like the way you think.
Go Gophers!!
Anyone seen him in person?
Yep. He’s the real deal. He has gotten so good. High D1 athleticism, length, size, etc. And I believe his ceiling is the NBA. If he can consistently knock down open 3’s at a higher percentage, he’ll have pro potential. We were in on him very early (both last staff and this staff), I anticipate his offer list will significantly grow this offseason. This is the type of recruit Medved needs to find a way to keep home.
