For the transfers, if a guy played a lot last season he's considered a key loss. IU's Remy Abell (played in all 36 games, 4 ppg) and Purdue's Sandi Marcius (29 GP, 3.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg) fall in that category. On the flip side, I'm not listing guys that were non-factors or played sparingly, i.e. the guys leaving Illinois.

I appreciate the assistance from OSUfan, combes1, etc.

Key Personnel Losses (non-seniors)
Illinois:
Indiana: Remy Abell (transfer), Victor Oladipo (NBA), Cody Zeller (NBA)
Iowa:
Michigan: Trey Burke (NBA), Tim Hardaway Jr. (NBA)
Michigan State:
Minnesota:
Nebraska:
Northwestern:
Ohio State: Deshaun Thomas (NBA)
Penn State:
Purdue: Anthony Johnson (transfer), Sandi Marcius (transfer)
Wisconsin:

Year in school is what they'd be in 2013-14.

Staying Put
Michigan: Mitch McGary (So.), Glenn Robinson III (So.)
Michigan State: Gary Harris (So.), Adreian Payne (Sr.)
Minnesota: Andre Hollins (Jr.)
Northwestern: Drew Crawford (Sr.)
Ohio State: LaQuinton Ross (Jr.)
Penn State: Tim Frazier (Sr.) -- granted 5th year

B1G 2013-14 Projected Finish (will update as player decisions are announced)
1. Michigan State
2. Michigan
3. Ohio State
4. Wisconsin
5. Iowa
6. Indiana
7. Purdue
8. Minnesota
9. Illinois
10. Nebraska
11. Northwestern
12. Penn State

SS....you could also add a list of incoming recruits/transfers for each school, too.

Better add McGary and Gary Harris to this list.

Not gonna lie, I hope McGary playing this well means he'll enter the draft this year. He's living up to his potential now and it's impressive.

I hope Burke goes Pro because he just keeps getting better with every tourney game.

McGary has said definitively he's coming back, and I'll take his word for it. That said he's certainly the MOP of this tournament so far.

Are Maryland and Rutgers going to be playing in the Big Ten next year?

Maybe the wrong thread but got into argument with buddy who says Burke will not be a good NBA point guard. Might be a bit undersized but I'd take him. Any thoughts?

Is there a chance you could add good seniors from each team so we can see who they lost? thanks

Big 10 Senior Basketball players

Illinois - Griffey, Paul, Richardson, McLauren
Indiana - Elston, Hulls, Watford
Iowa - May
Michigan State - Nix
Minnesota - Ingram, Mbakwe, Welch, Williams
Nebraska - Almeda, Talley, Ubel
Northwestern - Hearn, Marcutulio
Ohio State - Ravenel
Penn St. - Colella
Purdue - Byrd
Wisconsin - Berggren, Brusewitz, Evans

Maybe its just me, but Hardaway should stay another year. Not a dominant player, and is projected as a mid-2nd round pick

Yeah, I'd probably stay. The only thing is that if Burke and McGary are gone, he might think that Michigan won't be that good next season and want to move on. It's often times hard to REALLY improve your stock between JR and SR season (he's been about the same player all three years at Michigan). I wouldn't be surprised if he left and I don't know if I'd consider it a bad decision.

Illinois is also losing Shaw, Dmidjie and Langford.

Oladipo announced today he will skip senior season and declared for the NBA draft. Not a surprise I know.

He'll be good.

Chad Ford expects Hardaway, Burke, McGary and Robinson to all declare for draft. Not official though.

Per DustinDopirak retweeted by Amelia Rayno: Oladipo: "I'll be growing and going on and entering the NBA draft." Good news for us, bad news to Crean. GO GOPHERS

2014 is going to be absolutely loaded so I think he better go. The freshman class next year is considered much better than this years, plus almost all of the Kentucky players are returning. Some experts think Kentucky could have 8 or 9 first round picks next year.

Wow, I guess Victor Oladipo isn't what he used to be. He announces he turns pro and IU only moves down 1 spot? He was supposedly neck-and-neck with Trey Burke as the best player in the B1G, and perhaps the top NBA prospect.

Even if Zeller stays, they will likely be worse than 3rd next year. They still lose most of their starters - Hulls (was really hot shooting until March when he went cold), Watford (another terrific shooter, very productive), Oladipo (1st-team all-B1G), and role player Elston. Zeller, Ferrell (didn't really live up to the hype his frosh season, fairly pedestrian season for a 5* recruit), Sheehey and one 5-star frosh with a big ? at the other starting position and they're 3rd? I don't buy it. If Zeller turns pro they probably won't make the NCAA tourney next year. With him I'd say they are about a #5 seed type of team at best, #10 seed type team at worst. I'd say something like a #7 or #8 seed is about right for them at this stage.

The system is just awful if guys like Hardaway, Robinson, and McGary are going to leave early.

Agree 2014 is loaded, but I believe (could be wrong) that he is projected as a late 2nd round pick. I just dont see the upside going out at that spot. I would assume daddy has money and that is not an issue? But who the hell am I to tell a kid not to follow his dream...

Cody Zeller to announce he's going to the NBA. School to have a presser today at 4pm, per Bob Kravitz of the Indy Star paper.

Thanks. Will update above shortly.

How quickly will IU fans fall out of love with Crean (Crean certainly is in love with himself) if the Hoosiers take 2 or 3 steps back next season?

Crean=Mirror mirror on the wall, Who's the fairest of them all...or something like that.
