All Things 2026 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Liam Hendriks. Taylor Rogers. If necessary, Ryan Pressly and LaTroy Hawkins.

The Twins might just contend for the 2019 AL Central crown...

Glen Perkins is available. Same age as Verlander who is also back in the AL Central.

I know there's not much to get excited about, but I'm rooting hard for Hendricks to work out. That'd be a great story (until he's traded to a contender at the deadline).

Note to Ope: The Twins kinda sorta listened to your cheap beer suggestion. $2 beers Friday and Saturday (pregame only, I assume there's a limit).

Cheers to Tom Pohlad! Literally. :drink:

Completely ripping apart the Twins BP in 2025. All forgiven.

Good plan. Let everyone get drunk before the game even starts. Then fans won't care as much that they're bad.

I really don't think the Twins will be as bad as a lot of people think they will be.

They still have a really good starting rotation and whoever doesn't make that out of the young pitchers, will likely end up in the bullpen.

I don't think the lineup is any worse, and has the potential to get a lot better if the young hitters take the next step.

There's a ton of young talent on this team.

If that's based on the assumption they keep Lopez, Ryan & Buxton, I agree being in shouting distance of .500 seems realistic.

I'm not as optimistic but hope I'm wrong. The bullpen is going to be rough so the SP have to stay healthy. Otherwise it could be rough.

This type of outlook isn't going to sell a lot of tickets or get people in front of their TVs but I certainly appreciate your honesty.

I hope something magical happens because Twins diehards like you are long overdue for some sustained optimism and an actual financial commitment to win from the organization.

If a team is at least in the .500 range, through the All Star break then there is also hope to be in the Post Season. It took 88 Ws (Guards) to win the AL Central (Tigers) and 87 Ws to make the Wild Card.

As a show of good faith, since I implored the Twins to lower the price of suds I pledge to go to 6 games in 2026. That's double what I did in 2025.

I don’t see them moving at this point before the season starts.
