Insane situation in the Sinner Dimitrov match with Dimitrov up 2 sets and on serve in the 3rd, tears a muscle in his pectoral and has to withdraw.

Crazy! I had just seen that Sinner was down 2. You got to feel for Dimitrov.
 


4 different American women have made a grand slam final in the last 4 tournaments. Imagine having 3 different Americans sweeping the grand slams leading into the US Open...wild scenes.
 

Heck of a first semifinal this morning. Fritz played really well, but to beat Alcaraz it takes nearly a perfect match.

Would love to see Novak beat Sinner.

An absolutely embarrassing performance by Anisimova. It’s hard to beat anyone 0&0 in tennis, let alone at the professional level, let alone at a Slam final.

I think Alcaraz is in his head. I’m picking Alcaraz, but it’s likely going to come down to first serve percentage. The match will be much quicker than the French Open, that’s for sure.

Bummer. Sinner was just too good today, even the first set that Alcaraz won, Sinner was the better player.

I mean, Sinner probably would have lost to Demitrov before he retired, but i thought Sinner looked like a different player again Novak and just thought he might ride that level of tennis into today.

I don’t know about that. I would never count him out until it’s over. Dude has a POWERFUL game.

You never know, but he was down 2 sets to none, his elbow was bothering him and Demitrov was outplaying him in the 3rd set.

Might have been 2-2 in the 3rd, but I felt Demitrov was playing better tennis in the 3rd set also. Just my opinion. But, you never know, he could have pulled an Alcaraz at the French.
