I’m not a religious man but I’d be willing to make a sacrifice to the deity of anyone’s choice to experience what Indiana has this year.

There's a lot of that in college football. That old time religion is a big part of some of these player's lives ... recruiting.

I quite enjoy Indiana's peak nerdiness. If Mendoza keeps copying Will Farrell's character in The Other Guys in interviews, it's A-OK with me.

They’re just not doing him any favors professionally. When he’s probably the number one pick in the NFL draft in April, he can’t look like an amateurish clown. He doesn’t have to be an emotionless cyborg like he’s the next Belichick, but he does need to know where to look. That’s interviewing 101.

He’s certainly able to speak intelligently, although he tends to be a bit loquacious. But those interviews do yield better insights than the Bull Durham “I’m just here to help the team” approach.
