All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Dallas Turner’s 2 sacks today gives him 8 for the season and the team lead. He’ll be a pro Bowler in the next couple of years and hopefully develop into a Poor Man’s Myles Garrett.

It's going to be a long, tenuous offseason for the Vikings' FO if JJM drops another deuce in this game. Even if he plays well, it will mean very little to me as a fan against the Packers' reserves.
I'm not sure what's tenuous about it. He showed enough that they can't pull the plug on him after 10 starts. They have to get a back-up who's capable of being the starter if he bombs or gets hurt again.

I believe the draft order is currently the Vikings getting the maximum non-playoff team pick #18.

But if the Colts hang on to beat the Texans, think they'd get #18 since they have a higher SOS.

Also looks like @kg21 was wrong, as on the Tankathon webpage at the bottom it says:

Determining the NFL Draft Order
1 - Non-playoff teams get picks 1-18 -- the team with the worst record picks first overall
2 - Teams eliminated in the Wild Card round get picks 19-24
...

Who will be available, that's willing to come here with that being the situation, that we can sign without breaking the bank

That's ridiculous. Jones might have blown out his Achilles in week 1. It's a non-contact injury. There's zero way to know that.
Then you can't say it's ridiculous.

It's just as likely that he never would've blown it out here. It was a freak play

Naturally, Texans pull off the win over the Colts right at the end, securing the Vikings the bottom position for a non-playoff team in the draft order at #18.

Houston just went from winning by 2 to covering a 7.5 point spread on a pitchy pitchy woo woo. Hate that.

LOL

That's the kind of thing that makes everyone thing it's rigged. There's no way ...

There's no way that KAM can walk away from JJM at this point regardless of what we may or may not have seen from him this year. His job is tied to that draft pick.

What's tenuous for the FO is the pressure from the fans to fix the QB problem and not shit the bed in another draft.

If they were picking 13th all would be well.
I would suspect that the top CBs (Delane and Terrell) would both still be there at 13 but not at 18. Pick #13 also comes with a lot more trade value than 18 if we wanted to move around in the Draft.

It probably doesn't matter either way if KAM is running our Draft again which is almost a certainty.

Wow, every NFC North team finishes the season above .500. I wonder how often that happens. No other division came close to that finish.

Bears finish 2-4 in the NFC North and win the division. What a joke, and what a fraud. And they'll have the #2 seed and a rematch with the Packers.

SKOR North indicated earlier in the week that there had never been a Last Place Division Team in the NFL with 8 wins, much less 9.

Yep only way you do is if someone offered you a 1st round plus for him given it’s a dry qb draft.

I would shitcan KAM. He's blown it more than enough for me. If there was any disagreement between him and KOC on anything to do with QBs, I think it should be a done deal. KAM owns the mess on the O-line. Get rid of him.

2 years of blowing qb smoke has a price. It’ll be fun if the vikes hc begins spinning stories. ‘Well, I had other ideas.’

Bears win the division despite a losing division record. Only third time that has happened in a non-strike season since 1970.
Definitely hoping they make it to the second round.

Steelers kicker now misses his first extra pt of season. Fourth quarter is crazy in this one
