I would guess I am familiar with the music of White/White Stripes, the name just doesn't ring a bell. The show in Detroit yesterday was fantastic, and very widely heralded as one of the better halftime shows in a while.

This probably isn't the forum/thread to debate over how galactically stupid it was to have Bad Bunny as the halftime show of the Super Bowl. I'll leave it at that.

Now that it's official Brosmer is starting tomorrow, we can all agree on SKOL!!!! And even a dose of Ski-U-Mah! I think Max plays a decent game, probably better than any of the last several games JJM has played. I hope he gets at least 2 games instead of just this one, as I don't want to make any significant judgment on Brosmer from a road game in Seattle against one of the best defenses in the league.

When players are listed as limited participants in Wednesday practices, it’s basically a universal designation thst they’re nog playing on Sunday, per Adam Scheffler, who certainly knows more about it than I do.

Bad Bunny is only "Galactically stupid" inside double-digit IQ MAGAt echo chambers.

Personally I have zero interest in listening to him, but he's a ginormous international star. There's nothing stupid about him being the SB halftime show.

There has not been a SB Halftime performer that has appealed to more than a smattering of my demographic since 2016, which is just fine. That was Coldplay, who does not really appeal to me either.

Have to go back to 2010 to find anyone I have remotely cared about. Yet, I don't think the NFL is losing any sleep over that.

Somehow my interest in the NFL has been maintained

Might be wishful thinking but I'm thinking Max plays well; if nothing else, because I don't think he'll be rattled. Then again, this ain't the preseason so who knows?

If the Vikings decided to pay Justin Jefferson a $200M bonus, prorated over 10 years in cap hit .... that wouldn't mean anything in the sense that you're wanting it to mean.

Cash, as opposed to cap, is just accounting shenanigans. Bonuses, and how they prorate into cap hit, basically.

What actually matters and what is actually enforced is cap.


That said, if it helps get KAM fired at the end of this year, I'm all for it. :)

These posts were correct for Nov 6, when they were made. Vikings had just won at Detroit, and were looking to climb back into contention.

With the bad loss to the Bears, and then the abysmal loss to the Packers, the posts are now being taken out of context.


That said, with the left side of the OL likely to be out for this game ... we very well could be looking at a battered and injured Max and needing to start Wolford next week.

Max better get the ball out of his hands, is all I can say.

Yes it literally does mean what I said it means. Cap and cash paid are two different things. They have to pay the cash at some point, and the Vikings are paying out of pocket for this years team more than every other NFL team.

Luckily there will be a special half time show just for them hosted by Erika Kirk and featuring Lee Greenwood.

Moot point anyway, he failed a physical with a badly sprained hamstring.

Seems extremely weird to have this big announcement if they knew about that injury then, so he must have just sustained it since the announcement.


Good. If he truly wants to un-retire, he shouldn't get to play until the 2026 season. That's what the rule should say.

You haven't made any point why anyone should care about a one year blip in season cash. You just point at it, as if it's supposed to be self evident of something.

I don't see any valid reason for there to be any such "something", though.


Very easy to show why it doesn't work:

- scenario A: owners decide no one gets any bonus in a new contract
- scenario B: owners decide they want to give huge bonuses in all new contracts

Exact same total value of the contracts in both cases, so will ultimately (over X years) have the same cumulative cap hits. But in scenario B there is a big blip in season cash the first year.

So what?


Make a logical argument for how this season's blip in cash proves something about KAM.


Again, I'm happy to use it as an excuse to fire KAM. But that really seems to be all you're doing here.
