All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Didn’t they play the Chargers last week?
Yes and ?

My post was regarding that he took all the smoke off KOC & Vikes and put it on himself regarding playing hurt. Not everyone is that thoughtful in my experience.

OK, so I nailed it right on the head.

Therefore, the Wentz thing was massively overblown. Probably won't even be any complaint from the NFLPA.

We can put this behind us and set down the fire and brimstone. Nothing unethical happened.

Only way Brosmer sees field now is if McCarthy gets hurt again. Evidence to date says there's a very high likelihood of that happening.

While I was not part of the fire & brimstone brigade on the Wentz decision, nor saw anything unethical, I still don't see what the point of leaving him in there when they were down 21 in the 4th Q, 12 minutes to go.

At that juncture the humane decision would have been to throw Brosmer out there and let him hand the ball off for the remainder of the contest. It was over. Instead they put Wentz back out there to throw another INT.

Ran him out there for yet another drive down 24. Bizarre.

I didn't have a problem with it because I felt like Wentz was in any danger or anything. It's just clear it was a serious injury that is now causing him to be out the rest of the year. Once it was obvious he couldn't be productive, it made no sense to keep throwing him out there. There's a good chance Brosmer would have made little of a difference in the results, but at least there would be a chance, no matter how small it was. It was obvious Wentz had no chance of leading the team back to a win or even close to one.

Doogie says that the wilfs are turning up the heat on Kwesi. And in turn Kwesi is making the facility not a wonderful place to work at.

This looks really bad for Kwesi. Would be interesting to do a similar comparison using the Lions and the Bears.
This type of drafting can't continue. Part of the problem is a lack of picks, due to trading up. Kwesi should get one more draft, if that, to prove he can do his job.
KOC and Flores need to take blame here also, as no doubt they had significant input regarding the picks. Certainly the Blackmon situation not a good look for Flores.

It is interesting that people think the Det. Game will be definitive for the team direction. The morass mushy middle has an 80% chance of being the takeaway.

Ed Ingram is a starter for the Texans. Calling Tai Felton a sub is generous.

Lions favored 8.5. Would anyone be willing to bet money that Vikes stay within 8.5?

I feel like a guy could wager all of his financial liquidity on the Lions with that current line. Then again, you have to ask yourself why Vegas has the line that low? They very rarely miss by a large margin.

Personally, I think DET wins by 17+ with Gibbs and Montgomery running all over our defense and controlling the clock while limiting our offensive snaps.

Agree. I feel better about our offense than our defense. That is how sorry is our defense. There was somehow actually significant talk before the season that we would have a top 5 defense.

I see no way that we score 20 points and no way they score less than 30. Your guess seems pretty reasonable.

If JJM avoids a season-ending injury during the National Anthem and has a good game, I'll be reasonably satisfied regardless of the final score.

I agree completely about our defense...never saw this coming. We traded Phillips and let Bynum walk in FA and those two (2) guys are better than anyone we brought in.
