All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

This. I don't know how anyone could think that Wentz would start on Sunday and then, barring injury, McCarthy would start Thursday night.

The Chargers defense has not been great. If there's no Joe Alt for the Chargers, the Vikings should be able to win this game. It's very possible that 3 of the Chargers top four OT's could be injured for this game. Pass rush from Flores should feast
Was never going to be McCarthy. Could have gone with Brosmer and blamed Wentz shoulder.

^^^^^ I bet I can find the qb doing some great things in the Chicago Bear game.

Would that count the same?

JJ is still out? What in the ham fat is goin on?
It's a high ankle sprain.

Some of those can actually take three months to recover from, he's 7 weeks in so he's just getting into the window where for a severe one he might be able to play with some pain. So nothing really unusual for that type of injury. A lower grade high ankle might be 3 weeks, a severe one 12 weeks. So he's right in the middle as they seem to think he will be able to play soon. I bet he will play next week, if it wasn't a short week he might have played this week.

Wasn't saying anything about you, just have seen Bison fans and Wentz apologists basically say welll he had a few bad plays is all... 😂

Weird. I was told here definitively that none of the disdain for Wentz had to do with him being from NDSU...

Wentz is a backup QB who was signed at the end of training camp, and that's the product they are getting from him right now. If anyone is shocked, they just aren't paying attention.

I guess I was not aware of large numbers of NDSU haters. 🤷‍♂️

But agreed on the second point, but doesn't make it any less frustrating.

Something has to give tomorrow night. There's the stat below, and I recently heard (not sure if true?) that Carson Wentz is a perfect 7-0 on Thurs Night Football.
