All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

If it was already under 2:00, I'd rather take it at the 35 and not risk a fumble etc. for 5-10 seconds.
It wasn’t so unsure why that’s a mentioned hypothetical. There was really no scenario he shouldn’t have brought that ball out and was pretty brain dead from Chicago unless he told them he could kick it through the end zone

Did he pass the audition?
My opinion doesn't matter, but like Aikman said, JJM's teammates are going to look at him with a lot more respect and confidence after that performance.

I wasn't sold on JJM when/where we drafted him but I feel pretty good about it now after that 2nd half. KOC was clearly trying to coddle/insulate him to start the game.

Well done, kid.

1. First career NFL start
2. On the road
3. Against a Divisional opponent
4. On national TV
5. Possibly w/o his starting LT

Good luck, kid...show us what you got.
6. In his hometown - that’s some fairytale stuff

7. First QB since Steve Young in 1985 to lead his team to a W when trailing by 10+ points in 4th quarter in his debut

8. He became the first quarterback in NFL history to account for three touchdowns in the fourth quarter of his NFL debut.

I don't know about him being coddled in the first half. My guess would be (and this was my only fear in regards to betting on the game) that with Chicago having a completely new coaching staff, the Vikings had no game tape to prepare for the Bears offensively or defensively, other than what Johnson and Dennis Allen had done in previous stops.

I would bet anything that Dennis Allen came out with some stuff the Vikings weren't ready for defensively. Not having Darrisaw definitely hurt, a LOT, as Skule had a brutal day and the 1st rounder Jackson struggled a little bit as well.

After sleeping on it, the Vikings just flat out out-coached the shit out of the Bears, to an embarrassing fashion really.

Turns out, not having the Lions OL, the Lions RBs, and even Goff behind center makes it a lot tougher to look like a brilliant play caller.

Dare I say the Vikes finally have a franchise QB? Pretty impressive to come back the way he did after 3 quarters of nothing. Yes it’s one game but there’s hope that he may finally be the guy

As for McCarthy struggling in the first half..........outside of Jefferson, we are very putrid at the receiving positions.

We are small and don't get open much. Two of our big passing playing plays were to Aaron Jones, one being interference.

Thanks Addison.

With Addison, we will unleash.
