All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

You're correct weak, because Daboll at least won a Playoff game that took place in Minnesota while KOC has zero such victories here or anywhere else.
I liked what Daboll had done with Dart's development without Nabers and then Skattebo. The NYG lost a few gut wrenching games this season due to their defense which happened again yesterday under their Interim guy.

I would've kept Daboll for another year.

I wouldn't have. He's 21-41-1 and his last QB had to leave to get better.

I would also fire Kwesi after the season and give KOC one more year but he needs to bring in a new play caller. 4 years is more than enough in the NFL to know if you have a good coach/GM.

Maybe we’ll hire Daboll here!!!

Your incessant beating of the winning a playoff game 🐴, would be borderline funny, it it wasn’t so repetitive.

You Vikings fans who reside in MN are clinically insane🤦‍♂️

You should stick to the Wolves board?

Every Giant fan I know, wanted that bum fired after last season🤷‍♂️

It’s funny how seemingly rational people, aren’t when The Purple are involved😉

We don't have much for young talent
There isn't and that's Kwesi's fault and I'm fine if he's fired for it. But they're also not devoid of talent. This isn't the Browns or Titans.

They should explore trading Addison and perhaps Van Ginkel and Darrisaw for more draft picks, though they already have a lot for next year. But a full "burn it down" is not necessary nor would the Wilfs allow it.

I'm not a Daboll apologist but I've seen a different Giants team this year when it comes to being competitive even after losing Nabers and Skattebo.

Based on his overall record, he should've been canned but there has been improvement this year for that team. I have no comeback for GWG's comment on Danny Dimes...very valid point.

Super Bowl before I die.

If the team isn't even winning Playoff games, seriously what is the point?

Is there any indication it's going to change in the Wilf regime when it's been going on for more than 2 decades?

Would you take the Giants 2022-2024 seasons over the Vikings 2022-2024 seasons because they won a singular play-off game?

2022 - Giants. Won a Playoff game.
2023 - Push. Both failed to even make the Post Season.
2024 - Vikings. At least advanced to the Post Season.

Not really much of a difference to have a significant preference one way or another over the 3 years cumulatively. Add to it that in 2025 neither feels like a Super Bowl Contender in the near future.

Overall record: Giants: 18-32-1. Vikings: 34-17. Yeah pretty much a wash.

Giants 1-1 in the Postseason.
Vikings 0-2 in the Postseason.

Feel free to care about whatever floats your boat.

Hate to break it to you, but death is -100K as of now😃 on the ML.

The joy is in the journey for me.

I was throughly entertained by last season, especially with Darnold coming out of nowhere to be a Pro Bowler and winning 14 games, a franchise record IIRC. That’s what I love about sports, the improbability of it, in those special games/seasons.

Nobody thought the Twins were legit WS contenders in 87 & 91 - would you trade the improbability of that for the Dodgers winning his year, having the highest payroll and being the odds on favorite?

Not me🤷‍♂️

Yes, I enjoyed the Viking journey in 2024 more than I would have the Giants journey. I already stated that in Post 2416.

I would not trade those experiences either, but it does not appear to be germane to both the Giants and Vikings fortunes over the past 4 seasons as neither has advanced past the NFL Quarter Finals.
