All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Robinson was after Kurtz but I'm not sure that they were still on Ch 9 at that point. I think WCCO/Ch 4 had them for a quick stint before moving to Ch 29.
The Twins were on WCCO 4 from 1989 to 1997.

For those that tuned out when the NL was up 6-0, B6 oopsie.

Includes myself.

And now HR Derby Redux to settle winner of tonight's Mid-Summer Classic.

Been a damn good game. This will be kind of cool with a home run swing off to decide the winner

Meanwhile, they asked Joe Ryan a similar question and it sounded like he certainly wouldn't be opposed to getting traded to another franchise.
He's not a free agent until after 2027. I'd offer him a decent extension this off-season. But even if he won't sign one there's no need to trade him yet.

I am torn on this one. I certainly don't want to part with him, but I agree with CBSportsLine today. There isn't really anyone out there who is gonna draw a huge haul like Ryan.

Still leaning to not trade him.

I feel like this 6 game road trip is kind of going to decide this season. If we go even 2-4, I feel like it just isn't going to happen this year and we should just prepare to sell what we can.

As of a couple of weeks ago, the Twins had played the most road games in baseball. They finally got a long homestand and made a little hay, but things get challenging out of the break, with road series in both Los Angeles and Detroit within the next three weeks.

Game remaining: 66 (Home, 33; Away, 33)

• Remaining strength of schedule: .488, 24th in MLB, 12th in AL, third in AL Central

• Key series:

• July 28-30
: With the Trade Deadline looming, the Twins have three games against the Red Sox, one of the teams they’re chasing in the Wild Card race

• Aug. 1-3: At Cleveland right after the Deadline. Progressive Field has been a house of horrors for the Twins, but with this year’s Guardians team looking vulnerable, it will be vital not to stumble here.

• Sept. 5-10: A possible make-or-break road trip, with series at the Royals and Angels, two of the other teams in the crowded Wild Card mix
