All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

I'll be surprised if we see him before the All Star Break.

Not good timing, with no Off Days scheduled this week they will need to call someone up or go with a spot starter/bullpen guy for Sunday against the Blue Jays. They are idle the next 2 Mondays, but then get a stretch of 13 days in a row (assuming no Rain Outs).

SWR or Festa when Lopez goes on IL.

Yeah, watching it live, sure looked like a whole bunch of nothing. Then reading the comments that he started to feel something off against his last batter in the 5th, then felt enough to realize it wasn't worth trying to go any further after taking 3 warmup tosses, that's concerning.

Or both depending on how Zebby does. He's been roughed up.

Hopefully they way he rebounded against the Mariners after spotting them 4 and still getting to the 8th without any additional damage is a good harbinger.

Zebby has been getting a lot of strikeouts which is usually a good sign the stuff is good.

I think it will be Festa getting the call up when Lopez goes on the IL. He's been better than SWR in AAA.

The Slim Reaper will be joining the rotation when they get home. Probably start Friday.

Multiple SKOR North reports that Festa was indeed scratched from his start with the Saints tonight.

Emmanuel Rodriguez just put on DL. Out 4-6 wks.
Hopefully Keaschall comes back in July sometime.
Jenkins close to returning. Has just played a few games this season so far after missing so much of last season as well.

Ugh. Maybe he can make it back to get 3-4 starts before the playoffs.
Quite an optimistic take on your part, especially for the number of starts Lopez will miss.

It is a rather soft AL field they are currently competing with though for a Wild Card berth. Depends on Twins offensive production.

This lays the groundwork for no moves at the deadline. "We're getting Pablo back here shortly, that's better than making a trade."
From a pitching standpoint, assuming there are no other major injuries, that's probably right. Maybe could look to add another left hander in the bullpen but overall are probably set with pitching.

If they're going to make a semi-big move, I'd prefer it be a bat. Cedric Mullins maybe?

I'm curious to see if Luis Robert will get any interest and if so, how much the White Sox can get for him. Big talent but he's been awful this year (and last).

The middle group are bunched together in the AL. 10 teams within 4.5 games of each other. And Baltimore that isn't in that group yet is getting hot. I think we'll know more by the end of June.

If he makes it back by Labor Day that's 12 weeks and he'd still get 3-4 starts before the end of the season.

12 weeks seems like a really long time to heal a muscle strain, but I guess they are stating worst case scenario.
