Griffin Jax blowing this game for the Twins. he should not have been brought in today.
My favorite was in ‘72 I believe. The A’s were at the Met for a double header. I was 10 at the time. Some obnoxious A’s fan was sitting a row in front of us. Wanted to bet the A’s would sweep. My dad leaned over and told me, son bet him 5 bucks a game that the Twins will win so I did and I was 10 bucks richer as the Twins swept themSpent more than a few days there. Great memories! Favorite was Harmon hitting 500 and 501 off Cuellar when I was there with my dad.
Yeah somehow they still draw extremely wellAttendance in Denver: 38,423
Welp! There are no season crushing losses when you are going to lose 100 games
It’s a beautiful stadium if you ever get a chance to go. Between that and Denver becoming a huge tourist destination, the owners unfortunately have little incentive to spend on that team.Yeah somehow they still draw extremely well
Correct. For the locals, going to Coors is a social event, the game is an afterthought. The Rockies are a distant fourth in the public consciousness, far behind the Broncos, Nuggets and Avalanche. It’s a beautiful stadium if you ever get a chance to go. It has to be next to impossible to convince any quality Free Agent pitcher to sign on with the Rockies. It’s a beautiful stadium if you ever get a chance to go. Between that and Denver becoming a huge tourist destination, the owners unfortunately have little incentive to spend on that team.
Mercy firing. Bud Black relieved of duty.I’m fascinated in how bad the Rockies are. They lost 21-0 tonight and have given up 55 runs in the past 4 games. Now 6-33.
Since 4/20, the Twins have gone 14-5 and only gained one game on the Tigers.Would be nice if Kansas City, Detroit or Cleveland would ever lose a game.
Me calling them out got them going. Now up to 7 wins on the year.I’m fascinated in how bad the Rockies are. They lost 21-0 tonight and have given up 55 runs in the past 4 games. Now 6-33.
Some bad luck involved. A probable inning ending double play got turned into a single.Griffin Jax blowing this game for the Twins. he should not have been brought in today
Weather just had to warm up for some of the guys. Looking forward to when the Cubs are in town in July as I’ll be going to a couple of those games. Win win for me as I’m a Cubs fan too since the WGN days in the 70’s with Harry CaryOnly 1/2 game out of a wildcard now. Could be a fun summer of twins baseball after all.
Meanwhile in Twins Territory...Was at the game on Friday. Took a picture at first pitch. People filtered in over the first couple innings, but my guess was maybe 5k butts in seats at first pitch. On the plus side, didn't have to wait in line for concessions.Attendance in Denver: 38,423
I was there Friday and Saturday too. I think announced was like 17K on Friday and 23 K on Saturday. It does seem like a lot of people just stay in the bars/concourse and are barely in their seats though.Meanwhile in Twins Territory...Was at the game on Friday. Took a picture at first pitch. Amazing he lasted this long.Mercy firing. Bud Black relieved of duty.
