All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

He's banged up so isn't hitting right handed at all and hasn't for awhile. Maybe the solution is for him to just hit left handed only going forward.
Edited - I started typing a response to you in my previous message about his stats and forgot that I included it in here as well.
@GophersInIowa. Please disregard thst incomplete message, if you saw it before this edit!!

My favorite Twin of recent memory.

Reusse write a memorable line, about no matter how banged up he was, he’d avoid the trainer’s room, so Rocko wouldn’t bench him. I can Imagine him taping his own ankles, etc…

62-year old Carlos Santana steals 2nd as Jeffers hits the pitcher in the left arm while trying to throw the old man out. Looks like the circus is back in town.

Interesting contest going on against the Guards this afternoon. Twins were trailing 2-0 in the 6th when Rain Delay #1 occurred.

Tarps were removed and they rallied in the 7th, including an RBI single by Vasquez. Now tied 2-2 in the T8th with Rain Delay # 2 in progress. Twins have 2 on and 2 out. Julien at the dish.

I'm guessing the game will get suspended. Doesn't look like there is an end to the rain for awhile.

They need to stop screwing around and get Royce (and Castro if he's ready) to the big leagues. He's no less likely to get hurt in St. Paul. Continuing to run out line-ups that have multiple of Kody Clemens, Kiersey and Swingin' Christian Vazquez in them is ridiculous.

I'm still trying to get over the shock that putting Mickey Gasper in the leadoff spot did not jump start the offense.

Rocco's new solution is Larnach batting leadoff. Sigh. It worked best with Julien. Putting one of your only HR threats in the leadoff spot isn't the answer.

At this point I'd settle for someone who takes good at bats and at least occasionally gets on base.
Give Brooks Lee a try. And when Keaschall gets back, put him there and leave him there.

If the Twins were in a Pennet Race (or had any remote hope of getting in one) I would agree with getting Royce back to the Show ASAP.

They aren't. Make sure he's ready, both physically and hitting before activating him.

Our vaunted bullpen comes through again. Of course, it would help if we scored more than 1 run.

If I owned the Mets, I'd be asking lots of questions of Jeff Torberg or whoever is managing that outfit and demanding to know how they lost a series to these bums.

If he's ready enough to play for St. Paul he's ready enough to play for the Twins.

This had to be the last straw for Alcala. You can't keep running him out there. Stick Paddock or SWR in the bullpen and call up Festa.

It's hardly revolutionary for players being on the IL for well more than a month to rehab in the minors for 7-10 days to:

- Demonstrate they are physically able to play and not immediately go on the IL yet again predicting additional roster moves.

- Get accustomed to as near as MLB pitching as possible.

The only interesting thing about this season is whether or not management decides to keep this core together.

Buxton, Correa, Lopez and almost all of the arms out of the bullpen should be up for trade. I would try to keep Duran.

Let it totally bottom out and rebuild from there.

Pablo is on a very team friendly contract. Guys like Berrios and Musgrove are making more than him. I like keeping the staff in place. Buxton's is even more team friendly.

Correa definitely though. And the bullpen minus Duran and Jax. The rebuild has to be with the front office, coaching staff, owner and overall philosophy IMO.

IMO whether or not the contracts are team friendly is irrelevant.

You can make an argument for Lopez because quality starting pitching is a high commodity but any older position player you should be willing to move.

For a team that doesn't have much money to spend, I think the contracts are very relevant. I agree about most position guys but think Buxton is the exception unless it's a good return.

If they try to move one or both of Buxton and Correa, they have to get both of them to sign off, since they each have full no trade causes. Buxton, I get. Why they gave Correa any sort of leverage after he came crawling back here is baffling.
