All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

On the positive sign, they won back to back games and a series for the first time against a team other than the White Sox.

They have opened up a 1.5 game lead on those south siders.

Correa is dealing with a wrist injury so was not in the starting lineup.

When Castro when out today with a lower body injury, he was PH for by Gasper. The following inning Correa took Castro's place at SS, apparently healthy enough to field his position.

Had his spot come up to bat in extra innings it would have been interesting to see if Correa would have even attempted a swing.

Probably not. When he got pulled last night, you could see Rocco mouth, "You have to be able to swing,." He tried, winced, and walked off the field.

Carlos would have had to try to bunt or Rocco could haven given him the Buttermaker/Rudi Stein strategy. Try to lean into the ball.

Probably not wise with the Twins injury track record.

Had Carlos not swung the bat.....would we have noticed any difference?

Random box score I came across. In a2005 game, every Twins starter had at least 1 hit, 13 hits total and 2 walks yet they still were shut out. 0-10 with RISP and hit into 3 double plays.

It's tied for the most hits without a run since the 1920s. The record is 15 by the Boston Braves and Red Sox in the early 1900's.

Some good news on the Twins that were injured previous to this week, Lopez, Lewis & Tonkin.

Question for those with the MLB app to stream the Twins, can you tune in an hour or two late, start from the beginning make your way through commercials like a typical DVR? And/or tune in the following day and watch a day later?

Yes. There’s a setting where you can hide the score and when you pull up the game it will ask if you want to watch live or start from beginning.
