Game 1 tonight and the Lynx win over Dallas.

9-0 to start the season. will they ever lose.

They have played very unevenly all season. They sleepwalk through a couple of quarters each game before shifting into another gear and pulling away in the end.

It's good to know that you're able to turn it on when you need to but it'll catch up to them. I would be very frustrated if I were coaching them.

They should have several comfortable+ point victories but keep letting their feet up off the gas and the other team gets back into it.

Minnesota the best team in the WNBA. Won going away in New York this afternoon.

Had to look it up, but there is indeed a 3 second rule in the WNBA.

I wonder if the refs know this.

Is a 3-team race among the Lynx, Aces, and Liberty. Hopefully the Lynx can avoid both until the Finals.

Minnesota wins over Conn. Minnesota clinches the 1 seed in the WNBA playoffs. They have home court through out the playoffs including the best of 7 WNBA Finals.

The Lynx have the 2nd best odds in the draft lottery, thanks to the Angel Reese trade.

The lowest pick they can have is #4, since the lottery only sets #s 1 & 2.

The Tankathon mock draft has the Lynx taking Azzi Fudd if they move up to #1 instead of Lauren Betts. They are looking more at the 5 out that they play because of necessity of not having a traditional post.

Remember, they have had a traditional post offense in the past with another famous rim protector in Sylvia Fowles.

I think that they should go for size, unless they sign an ultra-talented big during free agency.

If the Lynx win the Lottery, they take Betts and never look back and I think Fudd is a tremendous player.

On a side note, Collier finished the regular season with a 50/40/90 stat line. Simply amazing.

I think the Lynx will win the Reese trade.

They will get Betts, Fudd, Miles, or another top player for the WNBA's biggest headache.

That was shocking. Really surprised at some of the poor decision making.

Well on to the next one. I still feel like we take the series but I don't like giving Phoenix any confidence

Cheryl Reeve has been ejected from the game. Cheryl Reeve was trying to attack the officials.

^^^ Not much of a Lynx fan, but she's an embarrassment.

Reeve has always been whinny. Now the league is getting more attention, which they wanted, and people are just realizing it. Gonna be a good choke job by Minnesota this playoffs losing to Phoenix.

the wnba very clearly struggles with the same thing the nba does in that the intensity and physicality pick up. its the problem of basketball innately is that you are not really allowed to touch your opponent. the lynx are going to get more affected by this as the entire scheme is predicated on free flowing, picks, and motion which physicality completely derails.

tbh, the wnba is already slower and with less flash. I don't know why they have chosen to allow more of this (Becky Hammon also has noted it and it was all over the finals last year between both Reeve and Bordello). They score more points with fundamentals, good ball and player movement versus the NBA where it's flash, iso ball, and dunking.

The WNBA ratings are fascinating as well. ratings up this year, while clark was playing, and now the playoffs are taking a hit again, and this is despite vastly more aggressive marketing from ESPN and the networks. Have to imagine things like this where your teams look whiny probably don't help, though the Lynx are one of the most devoted fan bases in the league so probably won't hurt locally.
