All Things 2025-26 Other College Basketball Games Thread

Zags on the ropes in Moraga... Down 11 to the Gaels with 4:30 left.

They cant lose, one loss in the MAC tournament and they are NIT bound, just like a 30 win Indiana State team who lost in the MVC tournament a few years ago.
Then the NCAA will cite them as an excuse to expand to 76

It’s going to be really strange not having Smith and Loyer at Purdue next season. Seems like those two have been there for 10 years.

Purdue unraveling at Ohio State, TKR came into the season with All American hype, but has disappeared as the season has gone on.

After losing to MSU, Indiana is sitting at 17-12 and 8-10 in conference with two games left. They have a hell of a lot to play for against us on Wednesday.

Nebraska is a severely flawed team and gets their stool pushed in by UCLA by 20
All teams that rely heavily on the three look flawed when the three doesn’t drop. I’ll toss in the UCLA is a very talented team that generally plays bad defense but when they crank it up can be very good. They were playing for a lot. Not surprised by the stool pull.

Arch Madness is a blast from the past. Prince Aligbe and another guy with the same last name on Southern Illinois coached by Scott Nagy. Had no idea either Aligbe or Nagy had moved on from previous stops at Boston College and Wright State, respectively. I’m getting old and less attentive.

Add John Rooney, former Twins broadcaster during World Series year, doing play by play to the old home experience.

Competive game but definitely an 8/9 game in a mid major tournament. Salukis up four at half after taking seven minutes to get their first points.

Pretty sure they are brothers. Really surprised Rolyns sprouted to 6'9"

Confirmed by broadcast crew they are brothers. Prince seems like a lifetime ago to me. Never heard of the brother.

Pretty sure the brother was playing jv or coming off the bench when Chet was a senior. Kind of chubby and knee braces, was shocked when a few years later he was getting looked at by D1 teams.

Drake somehow extends their awful awful season and avoid ending on a 10 game losing streak despite starting the conference season 6-5. They take on #1 26-5 Belmont tomorrow. Interestingly the Bulldogs only lost by 2 at home and 12 on the road to Belmont this year. Wouldn’t be shocked if it’s closer than most expect (but also wouldn’t be surprised by a 30pt drubbing either). March has arrived! Can Drake keep their conference tourney championship streak alive?… no the answer is no.

Arch Madness is consistently a very exciting tournament. Some day I’ll get there and enjoy it at less than half the price of the Big Ten. Lots to do in retirement some day.

Number one Navy gets a scare from Bucknell in the Patriot League. Could have busted my bracket! Nice to see the Middies climb over Colgate in the last real college conference in d 1.

Belmont gets pummeled by Drake who lost nine in a row heading into the tournament. Big possibility that Arch Madness produces a bid stealer, unless they hose Belmont at 25-4. Bulldogs hit their stride at the right time.
