Right now Michigan, Michigan State, and Purdue all look capable of ending the drought, and Illinois, UCLA and perhaps Indiana could join that group. Michigan’s talent is off the charts, Sparty has a great mix of experience, youth & toughness, and Purdue is simply Purdue with Smith, Loyer & Kaufman-Renn & now a deeper bench.
 

Just got home and turned on the Texas North Carolina State game. Cam Heide with a couple of big threes and a impressive put back dunk down the stretch. Holloman playing for NC State so it's the double down on Minnesota players who've now transferred

Illinois was up 19 in the second half, but give UTRGV credit. They kept fighting and Illinois didn’t play with the intensity that Underwood wants. If Illinois plays that way tomorrow, it won’t be pretty against UConn.

Michigan gets 1 million in additional NIL for winning the tournament. Gonzaga 500k for finishing second. The rich get richer in college buckets and the divide gets bigger. It looks like we are building towards 10-20 super teams with the best of the rest having occasional moments in the sun.

Henley is the classic example of a frosh coming in and playing a little wild and people think he will never be any good. Well here he is as a senior averaging 17 per game. Kids can develop. One thing that was easy to see about Henley was his athleticism. He just needed time. Also on the GCU roster is wingspan guy - Dennis Evans, but still not playing much.

Also on his fourth school in four years, and has progressively gone down in competition each year.

I agree. I'm not sure how you can not have the Wolverine as your #1 team in the nation after this weekend. Their frontcourt is freakin good.
