All Things 2025-2026 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

I don't think we can win with Rudy Gobert. He has the worst hands in the league.

I know Rudy is leading the league with shooting %, but I have never seen a guy miss so many
one-foot baskets or get stuffed by opposing players at the basket.

brutal today, but without him, we give up 135.........you know, this franchise is bleeped

their starting center had 20, ours had 2.........you are already at - 18 right there

No Chance.

Jayden with another stellar No-Show performance.

16 minutes
2 pts
1 board
-17

Can’t wait till the offseason when he and finch get jettisoned.

77 FGA to 101

25 TO’s to 7. We gave up 29 points off turnovers to 6 for us.

Again..............we have slow feet. We don't explode to the ball, we don't jump well, we don't create shots or dribble well.

Sometimes I wonder if Finch isn't God to cover up for all the flaws.

Let's do the playin......win a game, and see if we can win a game against OKC.

Riveting stuff.

They can't handle ball pressure like OKC provides.

It's hopeless.

I forgot to congratulate Rudy on his 2 points. That sure helped.
Rudy not being able to catch passes thrown at this chest is amazing for a guy that’s played basketball for what I assume is like 30 years.

We put up 77 shots

OKC put up 101 shots

24 more shots due to turnovers and our always inability to rebound.

24 more shots is staggering

First off, only having 1 PG on the roster, and he doesn't play, his borderline sabotage.

Second, this team doesn't play hard. I blame finch for.not holding players accountable, and randle for pulling a moss and only playing when he wants to.play.

Its.time to put Naz and ayo in the SL for randle and ddv

If two teams are added in the West, what will happen to the conferences?

Seattle and Las Vegas would both land in the West, necessitating one franchise shifting from West to East to rebalance the 17-15 split.

The decision would likely be between three teams: the Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies. Geographically, New Orleans and Memphis are the Eastern-most teams in the Western Conference but are short flights from several West opponents (each other, all three Texas teams and the Thunder).

Minnesota is farther west but far more geographically isolated. The Timberwolves' closest West opponent, the Denver Nuggets, are 680 miles away. Six East cities (Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Cleveland and Toronto) are within that range.

It would likely be a protracted fight to determine who would move East, but those facts would seem to make Minnesota the most logical choice.

Does Finch have the courage to not start Jaden and start Ayo, just to see what happens?

Suns losing to Boston right now.
Okay, Suns did lose to the Celtics in Boston.
Have to play again tomorrow night in Minnesota. Wolves are now 2 games up on Phoenix.

Pat chimes in:

Wrong about Jaden McDaniels?

There were rumors the Timberwolves were contenders to bring in the Greek Freak from Milwaukee at the trade deadline last month. It was stated here firmly that the younger, much-less expensive Jaden McDaniels, who would be in the package going to Bucks, was as much of an asset by himself as was Giannis. Since then, McDaniels has been “ineffective” (and perhaps “disinterested”) and, man, do I feel silly.

Howl Wolves!!

Pat,

If only you listened to me, you’d have known that Jayden isn’t interested in showing up every night🤦‍♂️

It was a fun win, especially after Brooks was running his mouth.

Rough 1st quarter last night and then got better, which they absolutely should have, against a Suns team that played a tough one in Boston the previous evening.
Got to take care of these turnovers.
Again tonight against Utah.
George (I think), Markkanen, Nurkic, Jackson, Kessler all out.
Put forth a sustained effort, win the game.
Thinking Reid might end up missing this one because of his ankle.

And shoulder. Good one for him to sit out.

Finch needs to extend his bench. Shannon, Clark, bring Joan back, even Conley. This team is going to be exhausted for playoffs
