All Things 2025-2026 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Got better in the 2nd half and then got sloppy the last two and a half minutes. Kyle with more minutes than I thought he would. Ayo with a very good game off the bench.

I'm in the middle. I don't think Finch does a whole lot of actual coaching. This becomes a problem late in games/playoffs. I think Finch is well liked by his players. This is a very good thing overall. It shows trust (albeit too much trust with some players imo). I would like to see Finch sit guys who are turning it over let and right. I just do't see that happening unless they are not 1-8 rotation guys. This drives me crazy. But.......Finch is easily the most successful coach in franchise history, so I think he deserves a long leash at this point.
I appreciate your detailed and nuanced non-special sauce thoughts.

I agree with basically all of it, except the long leash clause. I’m counting on AROD’s ego to not be that patient. Although I could be wrong, I often am🤷‍♂️

I think he's had the best rosters. I've wanted him fired since the 2022 Memphis series. Y
He's a benefactor of his situation

Ingles out for tonight’s game against Toronto. Kyle with have to handle the inbound role.
Rockets also in action tonight hosting the Warriors.

Warriors win in Houston.
Wolves going to wrap a win against the Raptors.
3 seed

There was a stretch in the 3rd quarter where it's the best they played all season. Everything was clicking.

Obviously a good win. Ayo has been a solid addition. Remember when it was Conley coming in? Always had to depend on Naz to be great off the bench previously and if he wasn’t scoring it didn’t bode well. Add Kyle, Bones and the depth seems so much better. Think this was a game they would have probably lost earlier in the year.

How good has Brown been? He should get some MVP interest.
One guy basically said Brown carrying the team is the reason Tatum is back this year. Not that he's not ready or not cleared, which of course he is, but that they have a chance to win it all because of what Brown did while Tatum was out.
Thought Mazzulla did a masterful job.

i think mazzulla is right up there with the best in the league, if not the best. Just doesn't quite have the tenure yet to say so but his job has been so damn good this year. Bickerstaff will probably win if they hold on and win the conference, but Mazzula definitely #2 for COTY this year.

As soon as Tatum comes back, Vucevic gets hurt.
As soon as Gordon comes back, Murray gets hurt.
Stay healthy Wolves.
(Thought for sure Reid might rest that shoulder, but apparently not. Kyle might miss.)

The Murray ankle injury looked pretty significant. I wouldn't be surprised if he missed the rest of the RS.

There isn't a team in the WC, including OKC, that we can't beat in a 7-game series if were playing well. Holding on to the #3 seed would be helpful.

That's what's frustrating about dropping all those games they had no business losing. They've stayed healthier than pretty much every West contender.

Stopped watching with about 9 minutes left.
It's beyond me.
Orlando is one of the worst three point shooting teams in the NBA. So let's just let them blow by us at will.

Ant, McDaniels, DDV, etc were pathetic on defense. Just horrific

They isolated NAZ all game and embarrassed him.

And to top it off........McDaniels was 0 of 9 and DDV didn't score. How in the hell is that even possible. Just ass. McDaniels just bores the schit out of me with these kinds of games. Two quick fouls, then pouts, then it goes to his offense, and then he can't stop anyone he guards.

I still say they lose in the first round and then the fun begins in the off season.

How is it possible that Jayden McDaniels, has games where he looks like a top 10 NBA player, and games like today, where he looks like a fringe NBA player?

he's a moody turd who just can't put it all together.

but I get so sick of hearing about his defense. He's a blow by for the most part.

Must confess, was happy about it during the 24 hours or so that it lasted.

Rockets visit the Spurs tonight, so a possibility the Wolves retake the 3 seed.

And the Wolves are back as the 3 seed. SA beats Houston.

3 teams with the 40 wins before 20 losses. Detroit, OKC, SA
