All Things 2025-2026 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Sabonis is a much better rebounder and distributor than Reid. Is he $20M/year better than Reid? Not likely.

We would be a better team with Sabonis, though.
Of course, but we already struggle defensively.

I'd love to get Reid's big and long salary off the books.

If I paid for tickets to ight I’d demand a refund due to. Grotesque appearance of the court.

Absolutely horrible.

Wolves looking to make it 5 in a row on the second night of a back to back. Nuggets on a 6 game win streak. Last played on Wednesday.
Braun and Johnson out. Jokic dealing with a wrist injury, listed day to day.

Already twice this season that we have to play DEN on the second night of a back-to-back.

Joker's efficiency numbers this year are off the charts. I can only imagine what he'd accomplish if he kept himself in better shape.

How many games will the Wolves need to play on their "Wicked Witch of the West" green court? That color is just awful. The cameras struggle as it mimics a giant green screen. Clearly no one in the Twolves office consulted the TV crew when picking that color.

We no longer own Denver.

They are better now.

They know it and we know it.

Make a trade.

Had to turn the game off the other night. Just couldn’t do it.

Probably going to need to shoot a little better than 2 of 19 from beyond the arc for Edwards, Randle and Donte. Throw in McDaniels and its 3 of 22. Team was 1-13 on 3 pointers in the 2nd half.(Tired?) Edwards was 2 of 16 outside the restricted area. Geeze. Randle was 2 of 9 outside the restricted area. Donte was 2 of 8 outside the restricted area.
Hardaway has 2 games this season where he has scored 20 or more points. Both games are vs the Wolves.

We've played 5 winning teams and are 0-5

We aren't good enough. It's been a favorable schedule to start.

Dallas played last night at home beating Portland in overtime. Washington, Flagg and Thompson taking most of the shots.
Wolves should handle them. Mavericks at 4-10

Think Edwards is 1 for his last 21 beyond the arc.
Regardless, Wolves 61-44 at the half against Dallas.

I'm watching this Dallas team thinking they were in the finals just two years ago.

It's almost beyond belief. They look like an expansion team.

Flagg looks good by the way.

Pistons roll to their 10th straight win tonight. See what they do tomorrow night in the 2nd game of their back to back on the road at Atlanta.

McDaniels leading the league in 3 point field goal percentage at .521
25 out of 48
Conley at .463
19 out of 41
Edwards at .388
31 out of 80
Minnesota 5th in the league at .385

Speaking of maybe some day unicorns, I've been watching Berenger during a fairly large sample size of garbage time the last few games and he is really, really raw. Somewhere in there is an NBA player but he isn't even close at the present time. If I were one of the wolves brainiacs, I would ship him to Iowa where he can play 38 minutes a night. Conversely, they should bring up Rocco who actually presently has skills they could use if they were in an injury pinch. I'm not saying Rocco is going to be a better player than Joan but he has more to offer at the present time.

Not knowing how they practice, but I guess question is do you want beringer getting to practice with Rudy against Naz, Julius, etc or getting minutes in the G league? Can see pros and cons of both

I think practicing against Rudy every day certainly has it's rewards, but Beringer is lacking in a lot of basic fundamentals having only played hoops for four (4) years.

I'd send him down to the G League to get the minutes and the reps but I can see the argument the other way, too.

It sure would be nice to have KG around to mentor the guy...

If most of his defensive work is against Rudy it's probably of limited value. Outside of dunking, Rudy has no bag.

That's true, but going against Rudy, it's more about positioning and boxing out. It wouldn't hurt for Beringer to pick up some tips from Rudy on setting offensive screens, too.
