Puckett?Wilson Ramos tied the American League record with four hits in his major league debut on this date in 2010.
He was the second Twins player with four hits in his MLB debut. Do you know who the first was?
We have a winnerPuckett?
Puckett?
To be fair, watching it live, at first glance it didn't even appear to me to be an injury situation. He just got tagged out and kind of turned and started walking back to the dugout. The ump probably thought he was moping because he got thrown out.Just another example of the power of the umpire union. Another guy that has no business being an ump.
Unfortunately, I think the knee issue is chronic. The only hope is that he can manage it well enough to play 100 or so games. If he can't, I think/hope they may have a real discussion in the off-season about an injury settlement for the remainder of the contract.at this point, if you're Buxton, any little twinge or discomfort is probably cause for concern - just because of everything he's gone through. better safe than sorry. if something feels off, get it checked out. might be minor - might be something more significant.
I read one story quoting other players as saying Buxton was walking around the clubhouse after the game, smiling and talking to his teammates, and didn't seem upset.
in all fairness, he's played more - and more frequently - this season than most people expected. Buxton is learning to be an every-day player again. he hasn't had to do that in a long time.
Cheap Pohlads!
For anyone wanting to watch twins baseball I will be offering PPV since I live in Wisconsin. The cost will be $1.00 per game. Please note any day games, Tuesday and Thursday games at 7:00pm will all be shown on tape delay as I work during the day and have golf league those two nights. I also do not have the express written consent on Major League Baseball, so see how long it lasts.
This is still better access than the twins can currently provide for people Twins Territory.
It ends Friday night. On our off day, I know that I’m exhausted, I’d like to conduct an informal poll on how long you think the streak goes?
I’ll say it improbably continues with another of of a different color.
13 and then we lose the series opener to Seattle.
What says Utes?

I'm assuming. I'm in the same boat here in WI. I get MLB TV for free through T-mobile so it's pretty nice. However I can't watch the Twins when they play the Brewers. The black out rule is so stupid. How would you still get the Twins games in WI? MLB TV?
Got him on my fantasy baseball team and he's the only reason I'm not at the bottom of the standings as I also have Matt Olson, Luis Roberts and Christian Yelich.A 40-90 season?! This budding superstar is setting a historic pace

Cincinnati’s budding superstar is off to a historic start -- he finished April with eight homers and 18 steals, becoming the first player on record to hit both of those marks in any calendar month.
De La Cruz is currently on pace to end 2024 with an almost unfathomable 42 homers and 94 stolen bases. He’s slashing .280/.389/.579 (171 OPS+) to boot.
The 22-year-old was an obvious breakout candidate entering this season, but it was hard to imagine he’d be this good, this quickly.
They're the perfect listen for those that love being miserable. I don't know how anyone can listen to them.I made the mistake of listening to the "SKOR North Baseball Show' with Mackey, Judd and Declan.
Oh, boy. first they went on a rant about the TV situation, and concluded that it is entirely the Twins' fault - because the Twins should have know this was going to happen, therefore they should not have signed a new deal with Diamond. (of course, that means the Twins would be making even less local TV revenue, but that doesn't enter into the Skor North narrative).
but my favorite - Judd went on a rant that the 10-game winning streak is meaningless, because the Twins have only beaten bad teams. according to Judd, he won't believe the Twins are good unless they (in Judd's words) "take 2 out of 3 from Boston, take 2 out of 3 from the Yankees" and so on.
Judd also said that (paraphrasing), in the future, no one will ever look back on this Twins team and think they were a good team. (mind you, they've played 18% of the season, but Judd knows how it is going to turn out...)
beyond what they say, it's just the condescending, superior attitude they have toward everything.

It's been a bizarre start to the year. Some stars have really looked bad so far while others like Elly have been insane.
They keep pointing out that Arizona and Colorado went to streaming, but Bally's Arizona ceased operations and I believe the Rockies RSN (AT&T something) did as well. They didn't exactly "choose" to take less $$ and go to streaming.I made the mistake of listening to the "SKOR North Baseball Show' with Mackey, Judd and Declan.
