All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Denver looks re-energized.

I'm still picking OKC, but the shots Denver was making were unreal.

Joker had a terrible game by his standards but Gordon has been incredible for DEN so far in the Playoffs.

Porter is our McDaniels. Not defensively, but when he plays well, DEN is tough to beat.

The same Naz that is their 4th leading scorer in the playoffs and was a +10 last night and a +18 in game 2?
Yes

+/- is the most gawd awful stat in basketball.

Conley was 3 of 9 last night and +13

Meanwhile, Ant was -4 on the night............LMAO

No, it tells you plenty. Ant was complete garbage in the 1st half.

When Naz replaced Ant at the beginning of the 2nd quarter, it went from a tie game to a 9 point lead for the Wolves. When Ant returned, the Warriors went on a 15-4 run to end the half.

Green 29 minutes 1-4
Podziemski 39 minutes 1-10
Looney 18 minutes 1-4
Gary Payton 26 minutes 1-4
That’s a lot of minutes with no production.
The Warriors haven’t won a playoff game this year when turning it over more than 12 times. Last night they had 14
Free throws exactly even for both teams.
Geeze, seemed like Donte was a matador on defense last night.
Julius, Jaden and Ant with the heavy minutes.
Win is a win.
Get that next one also.

Highlights of yesterday's game.
Check this defense by Donte. Think he got blown by about 5 times, maybe 6 in 3 quarters of action.
I know Butler was tough to check yesterday, he destroyed Edwards on a drive, but on a couple DiVincenzo played defense like he had money on the over for Butler scoring x amount of points.
Finch shortened it to 7 players in the 4th quarter with Donte not seeing the floor.

The Wolves are up 2-1 and playing poor basketball as a team overall this series. We need consistent, quality minutes from Naz, DDV and NAW if we really want to make some noise moving forward.

Want to see Cleveland even things up today against Indy.
Like a dummy I missed that last Denver-OKC game because I thought the Thunder would crush them again.

I'm a little less concerned about the scoring woes. Denver and OKC were both far from offensive juggernauts today.
