East Carolina first out of the gate:
Go Gophers!!
Go Gophers!!
Both guys that were pushed heavily around here. Weird how things play out.Couple things.
One, it's interesting how that's two coaches now who leveraged success at Houston to get jobs at bigger Texas teams and then falling off. Kevin Sumlin, Houston to Texas A&M, then Tom Herman Houston to Texas. Both fell off there and then couldn't replicate the success at their next job.
Also, I have to wonder if UMass drops back down to FCS. They haven't had a winning season since they were in the FCS, and that was a 6-5 campaign in 2010. Their next best season was the next year at 5-6. Since then, their high mark was back-to-back 4-8 records. They've had five 1 win seasons.
Owl agree with that! There are 4 FBS schools that are the Owls (Rice, FAU, Temple and Kennesaw St). All 4 fired their football coaches midseason.
Owls of a feather...Owl agree with that!
Who…Owls of a feather...
GAWD! LolOwl agree with that!
Not a surprise at all. Brutal stretch. Not shocking, Purdue was truly abysmal.
In my opinion UCF, Houston, and Cincinnati are jobs that were relatively easy to win at when they were down a league but now in big 12 became much tougher jobsCouple things.

And tiller had 5 winning conference records in 12 years with a 53-43 conference record.Purdue's in a tough spot. Even if they hired a good coach, say they found the next Joe Tiller, they now have to deal with a resurrected Indiana program, the expanded Big Ten and the new NIL reality.
