Seeing that Ibrahim and Thomas Rush both got nice paydays to sign as an UDFA!

Mo got $100K signing bonus and Rush got $175K. That's big time money and a good indicator of likelihood to make at least Practice squad.

Plenty of programs have a lot more material for their recruiting pitches following the 2023 NFL Draft.

MINNESOTA IS IN A GOLDEN AGE OF SUCCESS

The numbers:

With three draft picks this year, Minnesota now has had 14 players drafted in the last four years (2020-23). That is the most draft picks in a four-year span for the Gophers since they also had 14 players picked from 1988-91

The 2023 draft was the fourth straight draft where Minnesota had an offensive and defensive player selected. The last time that happened was 1975-78

My take:

P.J. Fleck's Golden Gophers have the No. 14 class in 2024 and it's clear that the program is in a rock-solid place (two straight nine-win seasons and don't forget that 11-2 mark in 2019). I know the staff was proud that its three draft picks in 2023 were homegrown prospects who the staff evaluated out of high school, rather than the transfer portal.
