My wife and I have really gotten into the swimming. They’re fun to watch, especially the relays.
I say this every Olympics: there are some sports on the list that should not be in the Olympics.Men’s basketball loses to France. Will we even medal?
When in doubt: just run the guy over.I was just watching rugby for quite possibly the first time and I've come to this conclusion:
Life is meaningless, rules do nothing but get in the way, and the only thing that makes sense is chaos.
My wife does this to me every time I come to post on gopherhole.
Go USA!!
Funny how she dropped out because she felt the pressure of it being all about her and as a result makes it more about her....Why does the Biles thing have to be talked about so much? She dropped out and someone took her place. They still won silver. Move on already.
Because talk is what makes money? I guess. Why does the Biles thing have to be talked about so much?
Yeah they were interviewing the other 3 gymnasts and every question was about Simone. Why does the Biles thing have to be talked about so much? She dropped out and someone took her place. They still won silver. Move on already.

I heard this morning that she is a bigger hero for quitting than being the best gymnast ever. I don't think some people understand the word hero. Why does the Biles thing have to be talked about so much? She dropped out and someone took her place. They still won silver. Move on already.
Yikes... My wife and I were talking about it in the context of increased mental health awareness. In the past, the coaches would probably tell her to suck it up and get back out there. Lots of stories of intense gymnastics coaches. I think it's healthy and good for the athletes that they recognize the mental health aspect.Well, we all hear what we want to hear.
Charlie Kirk called her a "selfish sociopath" and a "shame to the country"
It's juts downright frightening that people like this exist (and have a platform to top it off). Everything sucks.

Right or wrong... the action was, by definition, selfishThat shouldn't surprise anyone. Just another asshole getting too much attention.
I have zero problem with her doing what she did, but I also don't think it was hero like. Too bad it will continue to dominate the Olympic talk.Well, we all hear what we want to hear.

I agree.I have zero problem with her doing what she did, but I also don't think it was hero like. Too bad it will continue to dominate the Olympic talk.
Agreed.lol. No....it wasn't.
A) If she truly wasn't up for the event....then the team may have been better off with her sitting it out. She said that she had been messing up turns and such. Really.....if she had any inklings that she might mess up badly.....it would have been selfish to go out and do the event.
B) It gave one of her teammates an opportunity to compete on the Olympic stage.
