Oklahoma center Akolda Manyang's time with the Sooners is over.

The 7-foot center is no longer with the team, an OU spokesman confirmed to The Oklahoman on Wednesday.

The Post-Bulletin in Rochester, Minn., reported the soon-to-be senior was arrested around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Manyang and a friend, Tadros Deng, are accused of assaulting a cab driver in Rochester and stealing the driver's keys to his personal vehicle, police said.

Police said the two men were intoxicated at the time.

He averaged 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game as a reserve for Oklahoma. You sure can't put much stock into a big man's juco numbers.

Manyang believes he will play in the NBA. His towering body, long arms and fluid on-court motions suggest he might be right. So does the statistical line he produced the other day for the No. 1-ranked Division I junior college team in the country: 17 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocked shots.

He apparently was arrested about a month ago in Norman for assaulting someone who didn't take to kindly to him hitting on his girl. Knocked out like 3 teeth. I've seen him in the bars a few times in Rochester. It doesn't seem like it is a depressed type of self destructive behavior. He is extremely drunk and trying to pick up every girl. He also seems to associate with people who are only in the bar to cause trouble. His friends kept trying to pick fights with everyone who bumped into them. I'm guessing he is done at Oklahoma, but could probably go overseas and play. Just not sure how long that will last if he can't get the drinking under control
