Aireontae Ersery Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the year.

Congratulations to Aireontae, quite an accomplishment! Credit to Coach Fleck and the staff for identifying a kid who hadn't played much football, signing, developing and keeping him. I recall PJ saying something along the lines of "he'll be one of the best to ever play here by the time he's done" long before he was getting much playing time.

That's awesome. The guy is going to put on a show at the combine/Senior Day too.

Four of the last five Big Ten OL of the Year winners have been first round picks. There’s a very good chance Ersery makes it 5 of 6. Congrats to him on a fantastic year.

Congratulations to Ersery! I'm no scout, but from the first time I watched him I thought he had the physical ability to make some noise. Lots of hard work and here he is.

Too lazy to check other threads.....but what exactly was his injury in the Badger game? Was it serious? Will it affect his draft status or participation in the combine? Here's hoping he's 100% healthy by that time.

I don't think that they have announced anything. I was at the game, so I don't know what they said on the broadcast. It appeared to be lower leg. There was a play at the end of a series where someone landed or rolled onto his leg while he was engaged in a block. He limped off and they retaped his ankle. He tried to give it another go and lasted a play or two before coming off for good. I didn't notice him leave the sideline, but he came back to the bench area on a cart, hopped off and went back into the tent. Didn't see what happened after that.
