For what it is worth, the only Athletic Department adjustment publicly proposed that I do wish that the Board of Reagents would reverse is the elimination of the proud, long competitive, and quintessentially college athletes of the Men’s Track and Field program.

That program elimination bothers me more than the other adjustments.

Agreed.

Just don't think it would save that much money, to make it worth it.


I wonder, would the men's track program be able to keep going if they "cut" certain segments of the sport and just focused on a limited set of segments? For example, throwers and long-distance runners?

One interesting thing to me would be if they could recruit from the large immigrant Somali community to get some competitive long-distance runners?
