Kyan Evans just got benched by Hubert Davis. He came off the bench to play 10 minutes, shot 0-2 with a foul, 2 turnovers and 1 assist in their last game, a loss to Cal (after losing to Stanford and Southern Methodist in the last couple weeks).

Let's go ahead and sign him mid-season. My Cade Tyson math tells me he could be a star here.

At this point it basically seems like anyone in the G League is fair game. If Dawson wanted to come back he probably could. Not sure what G League players make but guessing they can potentially make more in college ball right now.

This is so ridiculously out of hand right now it is comical.

I am sure this gets addressed n the off season but as long as players can find a court that will side with them then they can get back in for this year for sure. This current situation could open the floodgates some with players trying to go back to college as opposed to stay in the G League.

From a legal standpoint, I can't think of a difference between the G League, Europe, or the NBA. I just can't squint and see what would stop someone like Rob Dillingham or Leonard Miller from returning to college and playing.

Seriously, what's to stop the Gophers from admitting Joan Beringer as a student. When the Wolves want him he plays for them. When they normally would send him to Des Moines, why not just keep him in the city and play for the Gophers against top level Big Ten competition.

He can make his NBA/G-League money and some revenue share money from the Gophers. He'd be a stud in the Big Ten. And help solve our current rim protection/rebounding deficiency.

Let's find a Gopher grad judge somewhere to issue a restraining order.

I'd love to take every opportunity to bash the NCAA, but I'm not sure what they can really do.

Next time Michigan is in town watch their heavy hitters march in. Cooper the former CEO of Twin City Federal and a proud Michigan grad had a suite in the Metrodome days and he hosted them. They still have big time wealthy alums supporting their programs. There athletic success and the amount of money they have in therevNIL allows them to go and buy players, same for Ohio State, Oregon ( Nike money), Penn State Nebraska and USC

With respect you would be better off arguing with a wall than explaining the nuances of modern college athletics to USAF. If he had scored Higher on the ass hat exam in high school his moniker would be USMC instead.
 

Looks like a certain judge had a clear and obvious reason to recuse himself and not hear this case. Judicial discipline?

I'm not trying to bog this down thread down, but you could certainly make that argument. For judges, it's not only actual conflict of interest, it's also the impression of a conflict.

That said, for some folks, it might be a bridge too far to consider every judge who donates to the a school as being conflicted out.
