A turnaround this fall?

Defensively we'll have a more stout secondary, with an athletic but inexperienced front core. This will be pretty much opposite from last year and should produce a fairly similar overall result.

Offensively we should improve as we have no where to go but up. The scheme will likely be simplified, Weber will revert back towards his old form, but Gray will also grasp it much better as well. I see no reason either can be named as the starter today nor that either will be as poor as last years results. No Decker means a more balanced offense in the passing game where we have both talent and decent experience. Running game needs to step up a notch, whether via RB performance or OL performance, but expect both to be improved.

I'm calling 6-6.

What about this team leads you to believe they can beat Wisconsin at Camp Randall?

Well let's see, they lost by a touchdown in '07 at the Dome, when we were 1-10, they lost by 3 at Camp Randall two years ago, and that was even without Decker. They lost by 3 this past season. And they led all of those games into the third quarter, which actually makes it worse, but still. So yeah, I'd say there's a possibility they could break through and actually win for once. Nothing's guaranteed, but there's plenty of evidence that a win there is possible.

If my fb pregame fun at Sally's and the MAC prior to the game are as awesome as 2009, then I'll be happy!

Tinsley could not beat out Campbell last year because Campbell was a Senior and could not beat his experience but he could beat Campbell in every measurable there is.

Measurables can't tackle, read a key, shed blocks or make a defensive call.

I don't understand how people do not see that.

Just because a guy is a little stronger or a little faster does not mean they will be a better player.

According to gophersports.com

Campbell, Lee LB 6-3 246 Sr.

vs.

Tinsley, Gary LB 6-1 220 So.

So are you again just referrening to overall speed. Or feel free to mention the other measurables to where you can say Tinsley beats out Campbell.

Hard to say what will develop but Tinsley was the best Gopher defensive player on the field against Iowa.

What an idiotic question.

No, not really. I'll admit, I didn't see the "have to" part of his claim.

Anyone can beat anyone.

Brilliant!

How about this? How about the fact that every game over the last several years has been close, whether here or there. Does that do anything for you?

No need to get defensive like I slapped your sister in the face or something. And no, that doesn't do anything for me.

Lest you forget, Sconnie,

????

They did actually play football (poorly) at Wisconsin before Barry Alvarez arrived

Sweet, so the Badgers sucked 20 years ago. Pretty sure everybody knows that.

Please work on your reading comprehension.

Now here is a point I can live with. You are correct, I misread it. Thanks for pointing that out. Looking it over again, I agree with your assessment except for the projection of record. I see something more along the lines of 7-5 maybe 8-4. Pretty tough schedule, but they do get Ohio St., Penn State, and Iowa at home, which is nice.
