Forgive me if this thought was already thrown about, but I just couldn't wade through all the conversations regarding the re-alignment. I'm really pleased with the outcome combining the rivalries with the fact that we're opposite Ohio State (the ONLY team that will ALWAYS be better than us). My question/theory is, do you think that Minneapolis being arguably the largest market in the Big 10 (I don't really equate Chicago with NU or Illinois...but that could be argued) had anything to do with our perceived attractiveness to other schools and the Big 10 as a whole? I was just so shocked that it worked out this well for us and was trying to figure out why seeing as this seems like the kind of pivotal decision that traditionally goes out of its way to screw over our favorite team. Or was it simply luck and geography?
