Jahlil Okafor isn't coming here, 0 chance, he has been invited to Minnesota by both Tubby and Tyus and he declined. Only way we get Tyus is if he backs out of his commitment to play with Okafor in college. Besides, if they got Okafor, Reid would not be a gopher unless someone leaves the program, and just by looking at your list it doesn't look like it. They will likely sign one more guy this year, leaving 3 scholarships for next season. I know a guy can dream, but if we want to get far fetched, might as well dream that karl towns decommits and joins the gophers along with tyus and okafor.

Ok I will change it...

Dream Scenario:
PG: Tyus
SG Dre
Wing: Vaughn
PF: Travis
C: Eliason
6th Coleman
7th Schilling
8th Buggs
9th Ellenson
10th Oto
11th Mo
12th Ellis
13th Foster
I really feel like at this point we will have 13 guys who could contribute whoever has the hot hand on the bench could come in, Coleman could probably challenge Vaughn for a starter spot, if we land Schilling, mayne jim and Mo ( if he drops 30lbs) could challenge elliot for the center spot

If this is the all-potential team maybe?! In the real world the more mature/developed players normally have the edge on newcomers. EE/Oto & Mo are too low on this list. Also, Reid Travis is no Center & no one's seen Buggs play a single minute yet.

Tyus and Vaughn will start from day 1 if they come. Reid would have to earn his spot much like Andre did his freshmen year.

I hope Tubby's not guaranteeing starting spots, but he may have to, to land these guy I suppose.

All of the above posters are extremely versatile and intelligent! Go Gophers! BTW, I have a B.A. degree from Metro State University! Am I included?

Reid would start from day 1. He's top 30 in the country in his class why would he go play for a school that's not starting him from day 1?

That Dekker kid for wisconsin was like top20 I think and didn't start, not sure if he starts now or not, and thats a terrible badger team he is on, its not easy for freshman to start in college from day 1

4 star recruits are not typically guaranteed a starting spot.

Who's gonna start over him at PF? Maybe Buggs or Foster? I can't see it. I don't think there's a 4 on that team that'd be better then Reid.

Bo is a stubborn old ass when it comes to freshmen. You can't use his coaching as the standard in freshmen playing time.

I'd personally hope for this...

PG- Tyus Jones, Fr. (Hell yes)
SG- Andre Hollins, Sr. (Hell yes)
G- Rashad Vaughn, Fr. (His natural position)
G- Charles Buggs, Soph. (Kid will be special -- book it)
C- Elliott Eliason, Sr. (Need a big in the starting lineup)

6- Joe Coleman, Sr. (Perfect 6th man spark plug)
7- Wally Ellenson, Jr. (See Coleman)
8- Mo Walker, Sr. (Should be in shape and giving us solid minutes by now)
9- Oto Osenieks, Sr. (Solid back up combo forward)
10- Reid Travis, Fr. (Last man in rotation)
11- Alvin Ellis, Soph. (Waiting for their time/injuries)
12- Alex Foster, Soph. (Waiting for their time/injuries)
13- Gavin Schilling, Soph. (Waiting for their time/injuries)

I gotta say I doubt Dre will stay here all 4 years. He's too talented. But if he stayed we'd only have two point guards and both are starting what if one of them gets injured? I can't see Reid coming here to be the 10th guy off the bench. He'd have to REALLY wanna play for Tubby if he wanted to do that.

Alvin Ellis has been working on his handling and could play some emergency PG. Hell I bet Vaughn could even help bring the ball up, he wouldn't be any worse than Hoffarber. Reid isn't going to be gifted any playing time, he isn't a top 10 recruit like Tyus and Vaughn. He'll come in like Rodney did. He'll get some decent rotation minutes, but he'll have to earn them. If the dream scenario above played out, he'd have to prove that he should get more playing time than Oto, Wally, Joe etc. If he out performed them he'd get more time, if not then he wouldn't. I don't see any scenario (best or worst) where Reid is the automatic starter from day one. We have too much talent on this team.
