1. Who is the starting backcourt?​

The top three guards on Minnesota's roster are likely Isaac Asuma, Western Michigan transfer Chansey Willis Jr. and Northern Colorado transfer Langston Reynolds. Asuma and Willis look best with the ball in their hands, while Reynolds is more of a natural two guard. There's good reason to start any of the three players, but the Gophers will want to find their preferred combination as soon as possible.

Reynolds
Durkin
JCJ
Tyson

Sure no true C but especially early we aren't playing any Edey types. Maybe we eventually have Vailhola or Turner start just to have some different lineup combos off the bench.

Asuma, Vaihola, Tyson, Omot all playing substantial minutes off the bench

Stephens, Grove, and Shinholster outside the rotation to start the season

While I don’t expect the Indiana passing game offense of the 1970s a little ball movement from time to time against man defense will be a significant improvement.
