2nd Half Domination in Big Ten Games

Putting aside the Ohio State game.....because that team is built different....an interesting trend has developed against Rutgers, Purdue and Nebraska and that is domination of the game in the second half.

The slow starts against Rutgers and Purdue were well documented. Team didn't start all that fast against Nebraska but avoided falling behind and was able to stay on schedule until they were able to kick things into a different gear after halftime.

Rutgers managed 7 in the second half, Purdue got 3, and Nebraska was shut out. On the flip side we scored 17 against Rutgers, 14 against Purdue, and 17 against Nebraska.

So that means in those three games we have outscored our opponents 48-10 in the second half.

To me this kind of feels like the coaches are struggling some in the gameplanning standpoint but are doing a great job of making in game adjustments over the course of the first half and into halftime.

Team should be developing a lot of confidence in how they have been able to close out games. What do others attribute the second half dominance we have seen in our 3 Big Ten wins to?
