KJ Wilson 6-1 CG for #1 and undefeated Tartan, a stacked team but he is still putting up 23ppg.

Jumair Wright 5-11 PG for Mpls South, 22 ppg.
Eli Hegle 6-2 SG for Buffalo, 21 ppg.
I. Idoko 6-7 PF DelaSalle, 10 PPG. Stacked team
Emmanuel Oyesanmi 6-4 SF Tartan, 14 ppg. Stacked team.
Tre Moore, 5-11 PG Hopkins, 11ppg, 4 ass. Stacked team.
Romeo Kromah, 6-4 SF Moorhead, 16 ppg.
Daniel Zoa, 6-6 PF Totino-Grace, 8 ppg. Stacked team.

**Note most players gain 1-3 inches and probably can put on 20 lbs between their Soph and Sr seasons.

Not a great in state class IMO, but as mentioned when teams are stacked it can be hard to evaluate.

Hi MM, is this your list or did you find it somewhere? I’m just curious what the list looked like for last year’s high school sophomores. And the year before. Are all the guys on the list still the best by the time they are seniors?

It was mostly my list. I am a high school basketball nerd. There are 8 prospects there, Mn usually has about 3-5 Power 5 conference commits per class. Then another 3-5 Mid majors each year. As long as the forwards keep growing, I imagine almost all of these 8 will have division 1 offers. And as D. Stranger said, there are 2-3 suprises that will emerge. Some teams like Wayzata, Hopkins, maybe even Maple Grove, are so full of talented upper classmen, you could be a solid sophmore and hardly see the floor. I grew up in MN, and my dad and uncles would go to the state tourney almost every year. Now I watch some Colorado h. school but they have 1 power 5 offer per year, and 2-3 mid majors. And any big man who has talent seems to transfer to the prep school circuit.

Prospects like: Suggs, Holmgren, Garcia, Tre and Tyus Jones were on people's watch list by 8th/9th grade.

This site listed 5 of the prospects.

This site here is fun to follow, he goes to many many h. school games.

Thanks for the links.
I like to see how the high school sophmores progress, I think it is a big year. Everybody knew a 10th grader that was a 'Can't miss!' and then they never grew another inch and their skills never got any better. Then there are the guys that sprout up 6 inches over the summer and physically mature and everybody is "where did that guy come from?". You never know.

The most famous are a Ervin Johnson, not Magic, who went from 6-4 to 6-11. Rodman was 5-11 as a SR I believe, and he grew 9 more inches. I think Anthony Davis had a crazy spurt also, sometime in high school.

There are some disgusting AAU hanger-on's who tag kids early and really notice how tall the parents are. These guys then get close, steer them to a college and get on the staff, and eventually get to rep the player in the NBA.
The book I read on this is called "Play Their Hearts Out".
