2027 kids already flipping?!
Go Gophers!!
Go Gophers!!
Well, that means either Minnesota or wisconsin's QB in the '27 class isn't even starting on their high school team. Which means one will almost certainly transfer.Has barely played in games yet, 13 or so pass attempts, his camps are where folks see the potential apparently. Battling a Wisconsin QB commit for the starting job at Mater Dei this year, if he wins it expect a lot more competition for his services!

And both QB's will throwing to two tOSU committed WR's and a USC 5* TEWell, that means either Minnesota or wisconsin's QB in the '27 class isn't even starting on their high school team. Which means one will almost certainly transfer.
It's wild that high school QBs (and a lot of hoops players) are well versed with transferring by junior year of HS.
It looks like their legendary coach, Bruce Rollinson, retired a couple of years ago. He was right out of Central Casting, big mustache and gravelly voice. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_RollinsonMater Dei is an elite program, let’s start a pipeline!
Is this good for a young QB's development? And both QB's will throwing to two tOSU committed WR's and a USC 5* TE
Interesting question...coaching basketball, say you have one very talented player who is a gifted passer and an elite scorer. It doesn't take long before you have no choice but to make your "star" a ball hog. It gets very frustrating if the others can't catch .... turnovers will get you beat quickly. Oh, but this one can catch...however, the result is the same...they cannot score/finish to save their life. We are trying to do what is best to win.Is this good for a young QB's development?
He's at an elite program with high school elite resources and other elite players around him but QB on easy mode with his guys winning all their individual matchups ends the day he walks in the door for his first Gophers practice.
In many sports. A years ago job I had covered LA. The GM of the LA operation had a son playing baseball there. Went to ASU and became paralyzed sliding into 2nd.Mater Dei is an elite program, let’s start a pipeline!

I’m guessing they have pretty elite coaching and training as well being a perennial national powerhouse.Mater Dei plays close to a college schedule. So while he has elite talent there is a good chance he will also be seeing D1 linemen, CB's and LB's on a weekly basis. He won't be throwing to WR's he have no one around them for 5 yds. While i am sure it will still be easier than at most places, the speed of the game will be similar to what he will face at the U of M. '=
Hopefully he comes in ready to start because after Lindsey takes the Gophers to the Semi's in the playoffs and is projected to be a top 3 pick after 26-27 Season we will probably need him ready to come in and play or at least be a backup.
Wisconsin's QB is class of 2026. This kid is class of 2027.Well, that means either Minnesota or wisconsin's QB in the '27 class isn't even starting on their high school team. Which means one will almost certainly transfer.

As sweet as it would be to have our guy beat out Wiskys QB a year early I think it’s fine if he plays backup/splits time this year still.Wisconsin's QB is class of 2026. This kid is class of 2027.
Wonder if that history means it's more likely he will switch college commitments a few times. He is one of those guys that has bounced around quite a bit. I believe he is from Vegas and transferred to Mater Dei and was offered from Pitt when he was like 13. He went to something called The Game Changers Sports Academy which is one of those fake schools for sports. Then he had like a full recruiting process when he chose Mater Dei (my wife's alma mater).
I'm not saying any of that to rip on him. He seems really talented and I'm happy to have him on board.
Go Gophers!
It’s certainly not a good luck switching before you even start your junior year. Would be surprised if this sticksWonder if that history means it's more likely he will switch college commitments a few times.
Bishop Gorman? Needless to say. Mater Dei doesn't take just any body with a pulse to play football. He is one of those guys that has bounced around quite a bit.
