2026 NCAA Tournament Thread

Last four on the bottom are: Iowa, St. John's (?), Michigan and Texas (?)
The bottom right with the sole KU player is St. Johns (Zuby Ejiofor) Played his Freshman year at KU then transferred to play for Pitino.

Cam Heide has the whole Purdue playbook here, could be interesting

So Michigan State vs UConn in both men’s hockey and basketball today? Both in the round of 16?

Edit: I guess the basketball game is tomorrow

Corndemonium

This is the whitest game of college basketball I've ever seen.

Illinois outscoring Houston 20-4 after 8 minutes gone in the second half

Houston D pressure is relentless. Illini must make FT and Boswell is struggling.

Illini handled the D pressure well. Hard to imagine the Gophers would have done.

Illinois vs Iowa to go to the final 4.
Very strange seeding of Iowa by the committee. I can’t recall a team having to beat two consecutive conference opponents to make it through the regional to get to the Final Four. And, if Iowa and Michigan State both advance, they’ll play in the national semifinal, and Iowa could then play Michigan or Purdue in the finals. So, of the 6 games Iowa would need to win in the tournament for a championship, they could conceivably play their last four games against conference foes. That’s beyond improbable.

That’s one of the biggest brain farts I’ve ever seen in a big game.
Take one of Chilly’s 12 men on the field in the NFC Championship in ‘09, add it to The Mayor’s “4 on the floor” in ‘26, and equilibrium - from 2 of the biggest blunders of basics in big moments - in the universe is restored.

Mind-numbing.
