2026 NCAA Tournament Thread

Let's give Florida a free timeout to check the clock.
I said out loud W.T.F. are they doing. It's BS that they think they need to do that, especially when the team (Florida in this case) behind has no TO's left. They need to add a rule that when any official review is called the players must go into the lane at the opposite end of the court from their bench, until the review is over OR they can call at TO.

Tennessee got that same advantage tonight against UVA. Out of timeouts, but Barnes was allowed to set up his defense during a clock review in the last minute. They need to make a rule to stop that.

Damn.....choosing between cheering for Cronin or Hurley is a tough call.

Tried to pull for Cronin but he's ALMOST as big a d-bag as Hurley......

I've been yelling "We Hate Iowa" since I was a rosy-cheeked cherub rocking a Willie Burton jersey, but I have to admit, I wanted them to beat Florida.
What in the world was the back and forth between Golden and the Iowa coach? Was that in game related is there a history between them? With limited knowledge I would likely side with Mccallum, but back story would be helpful. Did not see the game.

I have no idea. I saw one angle of it and it looked like Golden and the Florida coaches were kind of screaming at and mean-mugging the Iowa team as they went to the bench and then McCollum took exception to that.

I don't know, it was weird.

Golden was upset because he thought the Iowa guy punched his player during that jump ball situation so I think he was yelling a bit at them from the get go. Then he escalated it further when he and other coaches on his side then were looking at a replay on a tablet while the refs were figuring things out. After Golden watched the replay, he pointed towards the Iowa bench and was screaming "f*ck you motherf*ckers" and other things like that. Iowa's bench didn't like that as you'd expect.

6 B10 teams to the sweet 16.

1 for sure in Elite 8 from Neb-Iowa

Mich by 10.5 vs Bama
Purdue favored by 7.5 vs TX

MSU 2.5 dog to UConn
Ill 3.5 dog to Hou

Number of P5 Teams in the Sweet 16 in 2026 = 16.
Number of non-P5 Teams in the Sweet 16 in 2026 = 0.

2nd year in a row that the Supreme Court-NIL-NCAA has told Cinderella that the clock strikes midnight in the Round of 32 for every mid-Major.

Golden is such a creep.

At least 3 NCAA Tournaments I have attended, Iowa St was there:

HHH Dome - 2000
Bradley Center (Milwaukee) - 2017
Fiserv Forum (Milwaukee) - 2022

All 3 times their traveling fanbase has been impressive, it was quite apparent that was the case as well in St Louis this past weekend.

They will bring the ruckus to the UC in Chicago this weekend.
