It's been a tough Portal season for UST thus far but watching these coveted players potentially moving on to bigger programs says a ton about Tauer's ability to identify and secure talent.

The Tommies are definitely heading in the right direction and have the right coach at the helm.

My niece is just finishing her junior year there and already has three (3) job offers waiting for her at $75,000+ to start along with paying for her Masters tuition.

Not gonna' lie. This one is surprising, and it really stings. Oosterbaan a really solid, underrated player for the Tommies.

Tommies now have only two returning starters (Austin Herro & Carter Bjerke), and there's still more than 11 hours remaining in the portal. Not to mention, Bjerke likely graduates this spring (if he hasn't already) and would be able to transfer later this spring/summer.

Even losing Nolan Minessale, Isaiah Johnson-Arigu, and Nick Janowski, I thought UST still would be competing for a Summit League title. Now, that just doesn't seem likely. Johnny Tauer and staff have their work cut out for them filling in a roster that is going to require at least 2 "dudes", All-Summit League type players.

I'll say it again. ... life as a low- or mid-major in this new Wild Wild West era sucks.
