2025 Transfer Portal Watch

I watched some of Lemke’s HS highlight video. Almost all of it was him shooting threes. Very little was him working inside or playing defense. Whomever put that video together did him no favors. Despite the need to add a couple of bigs, the video left me believing he can’t help this team in 25/26.
I think I saw the same videos. He’s tall and he has a nice outside shot, but I have no idea what else he brings to the table. He was a walk on at Gonzaga. He would be a long term project.

If the Gophers are recruiting players like this, I suspect that money is running low.
Or, with rosters pushed out to 15 players, Niko and crew are also looking for back-end of the roster types who will affect the NIL pool minimally, have a chance to develop, and can at least contribute as a body in practice.

This. I think sometimes people get caught up in the order players commit and forget to factor in that we have a lot of spots to fill and some of the guys we are looking at might not be players that we are expecting to contribute in a big way in 25-26.

You can still get garbage time, practice, and "developmental" players in July. This board erupted into jeers when Jack Wilson committed here in April.

Oh there are 15-20 posters worth sifting through the trash for… I like good hoop chatter..🤷🏾‍♂️ you are like Chicago St in the KenPom rankings
No, you don't. You like talking about St Thomas. That's fine. Go to their site. At this point, you are becoming nothing more than a troll from Wisconsin or Iowa that no one wants on the site.

Big Country I was brutalized in Vancouver when his new nickname became "Big Continent" and he was mercilessly heckled as his weight continued skyward as his vertical became more earth bound.

His senior year he shot 50% on FGs, 47% on 3s, and 84% on FTs, with 5 RPG, 17.4 PPG.

He also made 51 3's his senior year. Not a small number.

Get him learning behind Bobby Durkin for a couple years. Bobby was 6'7" 195 in HS and made 78 3's his senior year which was a school record. Now he is 6'7" 220.

Seeing that we reached out to Cade Tyson as well (6'7" 200 lbs, 60 3PT senior year of HS)...seems like Niko has a type/role he wants to fill.

He's got a couple of guys that can drive and dish in Wills and Reynolds, now he needs more shooters like Durkin.
