2025 Transfer Portal Watch

I'd take Eaglestaff next year. You almost have to based on that name. Can you imagine if we hire Josh Schertz and Robbie Avila comes with him. We'd have the most unathletic looking stars of all time with Eaglestaff and Avila.

Terrance Brown Jr would be another good target!

I wonder if he's part Native American. He's from North Dakota, has a name that sounds like he could be, and also looks like he could be.

Grandnephew of Robert Eaglestaff who played for UND in the 1970’s.

Robert Eaglestaff, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe: As a member of the Fort Yates Warriors in 1971, Eaglestaff set a North Dakota high school basketball record by scoring 69 points in one game. In 2004, he was inducted into the University of North Dakota Basketball Hall of Fame. Later, as principal at the American Indian Heritage School in Seattle, he focused on a drug- and alcohol-free policy and urged students to appreciate their heritage. Eaglestaff is credited with having 100 percent of the students graduate and advance to college.

Careful with those fort Yates characters.

So...no relationship with Jan Gangelhoff?!

Regardless of program, 13.4 points/gm, 7.1 rbs/gm, and a 25.2 Player Efficiency Rating is pretty impressive for a freshman. He also put up those numbers while averaging only 22.5 minutes per game.

He had some games against power conference teams early in the season:

22 points and 7 rebounds against GA Tech in 28 minutes

12 points and 6 rebounds against Georgia in 20 minutes

8 points and 4 rebounds against Nebraska in 15 minutes

His biggest output was 31 points and 9 rebounds against Queens, not the greatest program but they did finish 19-14.
