2025-26 College Football Coach Fired/Hired Thread

That was kinda of a surprise, thought he was headed to FL.
No Jedd Fisch to Florida either. UCLA is probably going to hire the James Madison or San Diego St coach. Unless Penn St makes a splash hire of a P4 head coach I think Fleck is here for a while longer. I don’t see him going to USF or Memphis type school.

Well I hope Yellow Wood, Rubbermaid, and the Regents let him coach, very dysfunctional place.

He doesn't deserve the 'Sip. Immature, fired on the tarmac Lane is back. They've given him everything he's needed, but still hasn't won anything. Dysfunctional LSU and Lane are a match made in heaven.
It was cool to see Lane turn his reputation around, I have a feeling we are back to dysfunctional Lane in our lives. The ego always wins with him.

Getting messy at Ole Miss.

I mean they realize he’s going to get all their players and coaches anyway if he wants them right?
Personally I’d let him coach it out. The title is going to say Ole Miss on it, not lane kiffin. And it’s great advertising to say look we give you literally anything. Why wouldn’t you want to coach for a school that is bigger than one person?

I agree. Ole Miss would be stupid to not let Lane coach in the CFP.

Penn State gonna be left with Brian Dabol 🤣

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the DeBoer steam there was true. I'd love it if he left Alabama hanging at the end of the coaching carousel.

But I'd also love it those rumors weren't true and for Penn St to end up with a significant downgrade from Franklin, who they should have never fired.

Doesn't Brian Kelly make the most sense?

Doesn't Brian Kelly make the most sense?

Maybe. But he's 64, an a-hole that failed at LSU, and has watched his replacement at Notre Dame nearly win a natty, a place that he left because he said he couldn't win a championship there.

I'm not sure how in demand he'll really be.

It’s kinda wild to have fired Franklin.
Guy was in the final 4 last year

37-11 in last 48

Kiffin is top “get”
40-11 in last 51.
Has never won a conference title game at the P4 level or made a playoff
