2025-26 College Football Coach Fired/Hired Thread

Heard speculation about Michigan State, but nothing from reputable sources
That would mean Rossi would possibly become available again.

Brian Kelly's buyout at LSU is 54 million dollars. It is the second largest in history, first being Jimbo Fisher at 76 million.

Arkansas (Big swing coming IMO)
Colorado State non factor
Florida
Kent State* non factor
LSU
Oklahoma State can they take swing?
Oregon State non factor
Penn State
Stanford* what is their level of swing?
Virginia Tech possibly a retread
UAB non factor
UCLA possibly a retread

Who else opens up their position?
Colorado
MSU
North Carolina

Other than Kiffin, Clark Lea is about to get a ton of money thrown his way, how strong is that pull to remain at his alma mater?

Texas coach seems to be openly trying to leave

Maryland if they don’t make a bowl

A really bad match. I don't think he's a terrible coach but those programs in the SEC with high expectations every year (deluded or not) are year-round pressure cookers and every move you make is dissected over and over and over and over . . .
I mean, he was at Notre Dame...how is that not a pressure cooker every year?

this is the year if any for PJ to leave and get an upgraded position. A ton of good job openings and not a ton of proven winners. Not a good year to have a job opening if not a blue blood, those schools will all be fighting over table scraps

Kelly is the first LSU coach since Dinardo in ‘99 to leave without a National Title. Saban, Miles and Eddy O all got one.
