Their non conference does not do much for me. Plus they are not great PWR games so you better sweep them all outside of Duluth otherwise you’re gonna be hurt by these games on the PWR. Now we wait until September for the conference schedule.

Just checked the schedule again and can't believe what a snooze fest it is. Might just buy tickets for two opponents this year, uw and UM. Then head up to Fargo if they go there and advance to the 2nd round, then obviously FF in STL if they make it.

State Fair "sale" tickets purchased for the UST game. I think this rivalry is going to grow quickly because of the close proximity and having so many MN HS kids on their roster. More interesting to me already than Bemidji. First home game of the year. Figured why not.

Me too, I bought that $25 special.

Tickets are also on sale for Gophers vs Tommies at Xcel Energy Center.

I love how people haven't seemed to realize the Big Ten doesn't give a shit about hockey and hence don't care whatsoever about getting the schedule out at a reasonable date.

Your statement kind of contradicts itself here

And how did the WCHA ever release a schedule then. It's because they also get better ratings from volleyball, women's basketball probably outside of MN, who knows what else...

The WCHA part is irrelevant as that’s just WI and the big ten network did not cover hockey then. This is them trying to figure out where their coverage crews are going to be to maximize revenue, not trying to schedule the games per se.

Right so it's not "in a word: basketball". It's "in a word: tv". Or, piecing together the scraps that can be left for hockey on BTN.

Agreed. Now bball is probably much of the tv part, but yeah it’s tv and making money
