I think we were getting visits from this calibre of athlete before -- but not once they had the michigan tier offer. An example that comes to mind is Jalen Mayfield. To have someone with good offers already come visit us is unheard of.

yup. this is the new age we have with fleck. we will lose 4 stars but at least we are getting them on campus and keeping some. also, the high 3 stars are good. i no longer worry about recruiting with fleck. that is 100% his wheelhouse.

I get recruiting rankings matter to this specific argument, but success on the field is more of an indication of recruiting success. People can whiff on recruiting rankings regularly. Hard to argue with on the field success. PJ is doing just fine.
