The creation of the ACC/SEC Challenge marks the end of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, which ESPN established with the two conferences in 1999 as a first-of-its-kind event. The final installment of the 23-year-old event, and the 15th edition of the ACC/Big Ten Women’s Challenge, will take place this week.

It makes sense that SEC and ACC would team up and end the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Big Ten is well ahead of the other leagues in stature and revenues.

Now coast to coast with the big LA media market teams joining in 2024.

I would be excited to be a Gopher playing in the best conference and now on an even bigger stage.

Up next for the Big Ten... North Carolina and Duke?

Meh. ACC is probably my least favorite P5 and it's kind of gotten boring. There have been more matchup changes on the womens side, but seem to be rotating through same pods of 3-4 teams on the mens side.

I also assume ACC/SEC makes it easier for travel since the majority of schools are all on the east coast.

hopefully the big ten and another conference can figure something out..

would be fun to get a game against a team we don't always get to see from a different conference.
