My expected departures:

Definitely gone: Meyers, Faber
Probably gone: Lacombe, Johnson
Toss up: Knies

A lot to replace, but with the top recruiting class in the country and a lot of returning talent, I'm optimistic for next year. Disappointment last night aside, it really feels like Gopher hockey is back. I'm hoping we get a transfer goaltender to give Close some competition, but that might be wishful thinking. All in all it's hard not to feel really good about what Bob has done with the program, and where it appears to be heading. The atmosphere at Mariucci at the end of the year really felt like old times again. I'm a little depressed about the season being over, but can't wait for next year.

Yesterdays loss was disappointing, but Motzko has the team on an upward trajectory over his 4 years as coach. No reason to believe that won't continue.

Can't wait for next year!
